I loved the last act, the girl who got the golden buzzer, but did anyone else get the feeling that it was all pre-arranged? She is more or less a professional singer.

People are saying that the man who got up to sing after his mum brought his daughters on stage, had a microphone pinned to his chest whilst in the audience. We are being conned.

Charleygirl5

Especially Amanda Holden.

I did not recognise Charlotte Church on the Michael Ball show- put on weight and a totally different face.

CC did look different, that's maybe what having 3 children does to you, (to me weightwise anyway!)
I thought she sang beautifully.

Just saying ... the American professional singer was vg but I don't think Britain has found a new talent.

JaneJudge Mon 18-Apr-22 10:20:10

I never noticed, it wasn't distracting at all <lies> grin

volver Mon 18-Apr-22 10:05:12

I should say - of course its everyone's own decision whether they have plastic surgery or not, it's none of my business. I found it a bit distracting that they were all sat there in a row though.

I was, however, transfixed by the display by the judges of the art and skill of the Plastic Surgeon.

Me too volver - like a row of plastic dolls.

volver Mon 18-Apr-22 09:34:18

I don't watch it. But I caught the end yesterday when we switched on the TV at about 8:50, and a man was playing with a stuffed octopus. Sound was down, so no idea what that was about.

I was, however, transfixed by the display by the judges of the art and skill of the Plastic Surgeon.

He he Bluebelle and there was I thinking my performing dog who voluntarily spends half his day on two legs was in with a chance! grin

travelsafar Mon 18-Apr-22 09:33:12

Jim the crow!!! Lolsmile

BlueBelle Mon 18-Apr-22 09:27:24

I am switching off because of the dog acts I think it’s horrendous we ban circuses but allow this awful over training to be cheered and clapped That poor dog ‘in shoes’ I only saw a bit of the act so no idea what that was all about and I know you ll say the dog loved it but it obviously knows nothing else

A dog is a dog and should never be performing for our
entertainment How far is it from dancing bears ? Or horses no longer allowed to prance around a circus ring or elephants standing on their back legs It’s all cruel and outdated (or should be outdated)

Totally agree lemsip David Wallams a childrens author is a disgrace
Won’t watch any more I thought it might have improved

Joseanne Mon 18-Apr-22 08:44:59

I only watch it for the dog acts. That border collie was amazing, so quick!
The rest is rubbish.

lemsip Mon 18-Apr-22 08:21:30

a dire show which i only watched half of then turned channel. David Walliams is disgraceful...... ripping his shirt off
and dancing with an old lady...on stage..... ..full of himself like john barrymore in my opinion!
course it's all staged and edited before we see it. It's a 'Show' after all

DanniRae Mon 18-Apr-22 08:14:21

I'm going to record it next Saturday so I can fast forward all the ads and any nonsense acts that I don't want to watch .... not sure this will leave me much to watch tbh! shock

joannapiano Sun 17-Apr-22 13:59:49

It’s starting to be a children’s talent show. And they’re always put through to the next round. It should be over 16’s only. It was mentioned in the newspapers on Saturday that the American singer who got the Golden Buzzer, was a professional. I loved the robot squirting water.

Joseanne Sun 17-Apr-22 11:51:13

Is it only me, or did one else question that dangerous act with the kids on the scooters? That little boy looked as though he had been knocked out.

henetha Sun 17-Apr-22 11:16:17

I just checked my Greatest Showman CD and she (Loren Allred) is credited on there as being the singer of "Never Enough". So, yes, she is a professional singer, and it makes it definitely wrong for her to appear on BGT.
What a pity they have to do this. I otherwise enjoy the show but don't enjoy being duped.

JaneJudge Sun 17-Apr-22 11:11:32

I quite enjoyed it but it was spoilt by my husband moaning all the way through that it was set up grin

GrannyGravy13 Sun 17-Apr-22 11:08:14

I am still to be convinced that BGT is the right showcase for an American professional singer who sung one of the biggest hits, and no doubt got paid a great deal of $$, in a massive film like The Greatest Showman, which has been heard and seen by millions worldwide.

Being awarded the Golden Buzzer deprives an up and coming artist, sorry but in my opinion it’s just plain wrong.

nanna8 Sun 17-Apr-22 11:05:14

Is that ghastly Simon man still on it ?

henetha Sun 17-Apr-22 11:03:02

I enjoyed the whole thing, except that there was a feeling of 'set up' about the last act, great though she was.

Grandmadinosaur Sun 17-Apr-22 09:46:14

My thoughts too Hellogirl

Hellogirl1 Sun 17-Apr-22 09:45:05

I don`t see why they`re still allowed to call it BRITAIN`S Got Talent.

Kate1949 Sun 17-Apr-22 09:42:03

I agree Hellogirl. I used to enjoy it but don't think I'll watch again. The early heats used to have some really awful performers which gave us all a bit if a laugh. There weren't many last night. I suppose we're not allowed to laugh at people now. Also too many acts who weren't British so it's not really Britain's Got Talent.

Kim19 Sun 17-Apr-22 09:16:29

Certainly didn't do it for me. Boring. And that last act was the biggest set-up ever.
