I love Bowie's early stuff.
Ziggy played guitar....
There was also some footage of Brian May playing along at one point.

I loved David Bowie as a teenager.

Sky Arts show loads of good music documentaries and they tend to repeat them.

Mostly artists from the 60's through to the 80's.

I think there is one on at the moment called Laurel Canyon about Joni Mitchell, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Jackson Brown and all that group of people who lived in that area of California in the 60's. It has been on previously and was a really interesting programme

Thanks MissA I’ll find that one.

All David Bowie music instantly takes me back to my teens, probably the only artist my husband and I both like.
I’ll make a point of looking it up.

Such a great programme. I really liked David Bowie, though must admit not all of his music. I took issue with a few things said in the programme itself as many "pop stars" reinvented themselves during their career and took on other personas. The Beatles did it for one, going from Mop Top smart suited group to Indian Ravi Shakaar /Sergeant Pepper era. However that's me nit picking, it was a very good programme and I recommend it to the House grin

Thanks for the heads up. I never think to check Sky Arts but there are some very good programmes on there.

Is on the sky arts channel.
Lots of footage I've not seen before, along with interesting social history. smile
