Saw this last night/early morning on Sky Arts. What an amazing writer/screenwriter. Has co written a lot of stuff with Shane Meadows. Started off writing Skins; more recently wrote The Virtues ( which I haven’t seen). Crossed my mind that, when Channel 4 is sold this is the sort of talent that we’ll lose. I really needed to get to sleep but I couldn’t stop watching it. He was just so funny and self effacing.; it’s no wonder that what he writes is so brilliant. Sky Arts is turning me even more nocturnal. At least BBC 4 stops at 4 am.

I was glued to the screen when Virtues was showing MayBee. It was so deeply touching
Steven Graham played the lead character so well.
I shall definitely see if I can find this, Thank you for the recommendation.
BTW re late nights, you sound similar to me in that regard and the last thing you (I) need is an interesting program on late, to encourage us to stay awake!?

I have the tv on all night anyway, it started at the beginning of the pandemic when it stopped my worrying. But just as I’m nodding off something good pops up. I don’t subscribe to Sky so can’t watch on catchup. And just now there was a programme about an art collectors collection of pre raphaelite paintings. I hope The Virtues is on catchup.
