Paul's looking slim and fit - can't believe he's 80!

This is better than I dared hope for. He has a great band which compensates for his weakening voice.

Feeling quite emotional.

MissAdventure Sat 25-Jun-22 22:58:28

I wish he'd sing Hey Jude.

nadateturbe Sat 25-Jun-22 22:58:29

Just watched a little before retiring He looks great, but his voice isn't good. It's listenable..just.

nadateturbe Sat 25-Jun-22 23:00:03

It's lovely to see him though.

Callistemon21 Sat 25-Jun-22 23:00:32

Is his mike fully turned up, his speaking voice isn't loud

MissAdventure Sat 25-Jun-22 23:01:18

He has never had a big, booming voice.

Callistemon21 Sat 25-Jun-22 23:02:28

No, he didn't

MissAdventure Sat 25-Jun-22 23:04:16

I'm waiting to see if he does a song I know better.
This kind of stuff doesn't float my boat, really.

merlotgran Sat 25-Jun-22 23:09:30

His band are carrying him. I don’t care though.

Callistemon21 Sat 25-Jun-22 23:10:05

Here you are, MissA ?

ShazzaKanazza Sat 25-Jun-22 23:12:17

The Shires are a lovely musical duo playing this year at Glastonbury. I’d love to see them.

1summer Sat 25-Jun-22 23:12:58

They say he is going to do a virtual duet with John Lennon, not sure it maybe very emotional or naff.
Like the signing for My Valentine.

MissAdventure Sat 25-Jun-22 23:14:08

I really want Hey Jude.
The audience would rock out the end part.

Sara1954 Sat 25-Jun-22 23:14:56

He’s still got it, loving it x

merlotgran Sat 25-Jun-22 23:15:17

No more stuff we don’t know. Please!

tanith Sat 25-Jun-22 23:15:38

I’m loving it he’s doing ok ?

henetha Sat 25-Jun-22 23:15:39

Even if Paul's voice isn't quite what it was, he's still great and no one has quite the magic that he has with all those brilliant songs. And he's looking good.
I'm keen to see the Pet Shop Boys tomorrow. A favourite of mine.

Sara1954 Sat 25-Jun-22 23:15:58

I really like the drummer

MissAdventure Sat 25-Jun-22 23:16:34

I'm sure he has Hugh Grant playing guitar, there.

merlotgran Sat 25-Jun-22 23:17:01

MissAdventure

I really want Hey Jude.
The audience would rock out the end part.

He’s saving it for the end. Either that or All You Need is Love.

MissAdventure Sat 25-Jun-22 23:17:44

Oh I do hope so! smile

MissAdventure Sat 25-Jun-22 23:19:04

He wrote maybe I'm amazed for Linda, I think.

Sara1954 Sat 25-Jun-22 23:19:26

Me too, I’ll be crying by then

Sara1954 Sat 25-Jun-22 23:20:39

MissAdvenure
I think that’s right, one of my favourites

MissAdventure Sat 25-Jun-22 23:21:37

I think his voice is getting back into the swing now...
Its warming up and getting more punchy.
