New: Inspector Montalbano

I am going to wait on what Deedaa reports back on the last two books, after she has read them as I feel so let down. The blurb doesn’t seem that bright.

Just watched. Very disappointing last episode and I don't think I like him any more. What a way to behave.

Well shall I bother to watch it now I know the end, probably. But I liked ‘The Young Montalbano’ better. I find them all just a touch juvenile with that slap stick stuff. The policeman who can never get in the door properly. Best bit is the scenery.

Do read the books they are so much better than the TV version.

I love Montalbano normally but what a stupid story line to finish on nd so out of character for Salvo

So disappointing! I never liked Livia - thought life for Montalbano would have been much more fun with Ingrid - but to dump her with a phone call for someone he'd hardly met who was almost young enough to be his granddaughter???? Ruined the whole thing for me.

Well now I'm going to have to read the final two books to find out if this is really the end for Salvo and Livia.

I think it may have been a different scriptwriter.
Salvo, certainly wasn't his usual self.
