I’ve given up. Watched it last night, didn’t care for it but persevered and watched again tonight. It’s awful, we’ve given up and switched off. Anyone else watched it?

I watched the first episode and was going to watch tonight but then thought im really not interested in what happens so haven't bothered

I watched two thirds of last night's episode. It was engaging to begin with, but once I could see where it was going, I decided to go to bed. I haven't bothered with it tonight.

Same here - have tonight’s recorded but not sure I’ll bother watching. Slow and confusing.

It's another one where the main character gets deeper and deeper into improbable trouble. Why don't these people just go to the police the first time and take the consequences?

Mine Mon 18-Jul-22 22:06:29

It is a bit confusing but I'm quite liking it...Its set in Glasgow my home town so I'm enjoying trying to figure out what parts of the city I can spot.

Oldbat1 Mon 18-Jul-22 22:09:00

Only watched 5mins and that was enough.

BlueBelle Mon 18-Jul-22 22:11:50

I m liking it I m with you mine not saying it’s the best but it’s kept me awake and they don’t all do that yep thumbs up from me

We are watching (DH napped) but my goodness it is slow and dull

Elrel Tue 19-Jul-22 01:21:31

I watched all three episodes. It didn't improve, so many plot holes. I thought it would be about a control room.

travelsafar Tue 19-Jul-22 04:23:12

I started watching and found it boring so switched off

Shirleyw Tue 19-Jul-22 06:12:32

Ive also given up, I got bored with it half way through first episode.

TopsyIrene06 Tue 19-Jul-22 07:01:12

Mine. Part of it was filmed outside my front window. We had the film crew with us for one week which was very exciting. Sam's apartment is just above mine and is in Langside.
I would have given up watching but I persisted for obvious reasons.

BlueBelle Tue 19-Jul-22 07:06:39

How exciting topsy
I seem to be totally out of line with everybody else’s I m finding it ok, ok enough to want to see the end and ok enough not to fall asleep
After the absolute absence of anything at all to watch lately if your not a sports fan I m happy with it

Toetoe Tue 19-Jul-22 07:21:19

I was thinking is this just me !

I have recorded it , watched the first episode , started watching the second and got so bored so switched off .

Why would anyone get so involved that deep , enough to ruin his life and lose his job , but I guess I'll just have to sit through it and find out

NotSpaghetti Tue 19-Jul-22 07:38:13

It's not just this though is it?... so many dramas make the characters do totally improbable things... and not just once. They go on making more and more ridiculous and unlikely decisions.

I thought this had possibles at first. Good idea initially... Less so now - I only watched one episode.

Juliet27 Tue 19-Jul-22 07:44:29

Oh Topsy, couldn’t you have sneaked in on the filming! That’s a lot of steps to your apartment!

Gingster Tue 19-Jul-22 07:52:55

I E watched 2 episodes, not bothered if I see any more.

Sparklefizz Tue 19-Jul-22 09:04:47

When characters start doing ridiculous things, I give up in irritation.... and this was a case in point by the end of episode 1.

Poppyred Tue 19-Jul-22 09:11:50

Rubbish!

Calendargirl Tue 19-Jul-22 09:22:40

After reading all these comments, glad I didn’t start watching it.

Doodledog Tue 19-Jul-22 09:29:21

I thought it was another one with a good premise that quickly spiralled into daftness. I gave the first one the benefit of the doubt, and when the second clashed with Witness Number 3 on Ch5, I decided to stick with it and move to 5+1 afterwards. There was no comparison. Witness Number 3 was good, IMO, and I'd really lost interest in Control Room by the end. My acid test is whether I care about at least a couple of the characters in a drama, and I can't say I'm bothered about any of them in CR. The little boy seems quite sweet, but we know he grows up to be numptie Gabriel, so there's not even much point in hoping for the best there.

lemsip Tue 19-Jul-22 09:30:06

why do writers think we want to watch such mixed up rubbish is my opinion

maddyone Tue 19-Jul-22 11:00:12

Thanks for your post Doodledog. I had wondered about watching Witness Number 3 last night, but persevered with Control Room for half an hour and then gave up. It’s absolute rubbish. However I’ll have a go with Witness Number 3 tonight on your recommendation.
We’re loving Spiral on iPlayer at the moment. Watch an episode nearly every night.

CatsCatsCats Tue 19-Jul-22 11:03:34

I watched the first episode, then didn't bother after that. Pleased to hear Witness Number 3 is better, as I'm planning to binge-watch that one.
