Meant to add there is alway something “cosier”, more intimate and informal about the Commonwealth Games which I like.
Wonderful for Birmingham which is too often underestimated , but outstanding for music (CBSO), ballet (BRB) theatre (the Rep) sport (Edgbaston) culture in general (Symphony Hall and the Library) is a pretty amazing place.

I loved the Bull.

Just watching the Oceania countries - loving the outfits!

I'm enjoying the geography lesson! And the chap I just saw with his top off.

Very nice ?

I’m finding it a bit tedious , Lenny Henry was a bit flat ?

No, not up to London 2012 - but that set the bar very high indeed!
D, SIL and their 3 children are there so I hope they are loving it!
Loved the car Union Jack. (But they didn’t show us how they drove off again did they? )

More money would go into the Olympics. Well I'm a Brummie still living here and think it's great. Yes I'm biased smile. I was thrilled to see The Red Arrows fly over my house earlier. I never thought I'd see them.

Perhaps you have to be there but the London Olympics opening ceremony it is not. Stella and the Dreamers? Dear oh dear. Quite liked the Union flag made of locally-made cars.
