Mavis Nicholson

When I trained as a Health Visitor in the early 70s, we were advised to watch her interviewing techniques

there was another early afternoon show with four ladies some years ago late sixties to seventies Houseparty it was called one of their names was Cherry Marshall can't recall others but I always watched.

I remember one Easter I think, the poem by GK Chesterton , The Donkey, was read out on her programme. It finished with the phrase about how it carried Jesus.

Mavis said how moving she found it.

I agreed, and have always associated that poem with her.

Oh I really liked her, I remember her well. She had a nice natural way with people, which came across well. Sympathies to her friends and family, R.I.P
