Last week's postponed Strictly is on tonight at 7pm. Apparently Rose & Giovanni will be reprising their winning routine.

I think that is all true Calendargirl. I really like Ellie as a person and everyone seems to have taken to her. And no sobs from her.
I'm not sure if I said it on here at the beginning, but I always felt that her progress in the middle stages would be limited due to her physique - for example extended leg movements.
Tyler is looking a strong contender, and Helen.

I was flicking channels the other day and saw Ellie S on a game show. She's got a great personality and I don't think she'll be short of showbiz offers. I love her.

She's like other athletes that have been on Strictly - takes the critique seriously, doesn't complain, works hard and "no sobs" as *Joseanne says.... but I think she will be limited now while the others can surge ahead.

Tyler is my favourite. I loved his cha cha and the great music they performed it to. Molly did an amazing Argentine Tango. So many good performances. Hamza has an incredible quality, his Tango was so fast. A lovely man too. I wasn't keen on Will's cha-cha. Incorporating a zombie, jerky style didn't do it any favours I felt. Although Ellie and Johanne with couples choice was good I'd not have placed them at top of leader board.
Not long to find out who will be leaving.

Well, we don’t need to see the dance off.

Foregone conclusion.

Joseanne Sun 30-Oct-22 19:50:35

Fleur's dance was a bit messy last night, but I think she will go through.

Callistemon21 Sun 30-Oct-22 19:57:39

No contest!

TillyTrotter Sun 30-Oct-22 20:03:41

I agree Joseanne Fleur will need to get down the steps and technique before giving it so much welly!

Sweetpeasue Sun 30-Oct-22 20:04:08

Shocked Fleur in dance off again. No contest against James.
Poor James was gutted to be out tonight. Very emotional.

Grannynannywanny Sun 30-Oct-22 20:04:53

I’m glad Fleur is through for another week. She shouldn’t have been in the dance off.

What did you think of Shirley’s hair tonight? I spent too much time trying to figure out how she could fit all of her natural hair under that short wig. Or is her natural hair short with long extensions??

Sparklefizz Sun 30-Oct-22 20:06:16

Wasn't the Pros' opening dance fabulous? And I liked the arrangement of the music.

I thought Ellie S would be in the dance off. Poor Fleur. I didn't think she deserved to be there. No surprise that James has gone home, but it's getting tricky now with so many good dancers.

lemsip Sun 30-Oct-22 20:06:25

amy let james down by that choreography making it all about her not james imo

I think quite often Shirley is wearing a wig. Maybe the pixie crop is her real hair.

Sweetpeasue Sun 30-Oct-22 20:08:14

Grannynannywanny I was baffled too about Shirley's hair.

Grannynannywanny Sun 30-Oct-22 20:09:23

I hadn’t thought of that Sparklefizz.

Sweetpeasue Sun 30-Oct-22 20:12:19

Sparklefizz It's amazing that we can't tell isn't it? Shirley has her hair in so many styles/or wigs on the show that I've never been able to fathom out what her own hair is like.

rafichagran Sun 30-Oct-22 20:16:57

The right one went out tonight. I like him, but it is a dance contest though.

Millie22 Sun 30-Oct-22 20:42:22

I think Shirley usually posts on Twitter to ask people to vote on which wig she should wear. She had a bit of a 'Dot Cotton' look tonight.

Can somebody get me a Nikita for Christmas please?

Can’t agree with this. In my opinion the one who should go wasn’t in the dance off.

Grandmabatty Sun 30-Oct-22 21:08:15

Ginny I completely agree with you. Of the two in the dance off, the right one went. However there was a much weaker dancer who escaped the dance off.

Casdon Sun 30-Oct-22 21:18:41

Are you talking about Tony? I think the difference is that Tony noticeably improves every week, whereas James doesn't, he’s been quite static for the last few weeks. Also, everybody loves a trier, particularly one who laughs at himself, and that’s why Tony is still there.

Forsythia Sun 30-Oct-22 21:45:54

I felt sorry for James. I thought he’d got a few more weeks yet. But well done to Fleure.

Agreed. I didn’t think her part in the dance was that good either.
Why is Fleur so often in the dance off?

Grandmabatty Mon 31-Oct-22 08:11:49

No Casdon, I meant Ellie Simmons. I think Tony has improved substantially since the start. The dance wasn't a good one for Ellie.

ginny Mon 31-Oct-22 12:12:56

Casdon I was referring to Tony. He may have improved but I still feel he is plodding around. If stories are to be believed, there are hundreds of Arsenal fans voting for him. So much for the best dancers winning !
