Last week's postponed Strictly is on tonight at 7pm. Apparently Rose & Giovanni will be reprising their winning routine.

Shirley's comments get more ridiculous each week and what was that all about with the little shoes.

Watched the show for years and for the first time ever I was in tears when Ellie was eliminated. She's so inspiring both with her Olympic achievement and with the effort she put into her dancing. She really is a lovely woman.

I loved how they lifted Ellie at the end. I was thinking oh no they’ll all run on for the group hug and poor Ellie will disappear out of sight. I found it really moving.

She’s a great personality and I think we’ll see lots more of her on tv.

I read on another forum that Arsenal supporters are voting for Tony without even watching the show. I can understand people voting for the people they like, not just the best dancers. But if it's true that people are voting without even watching, that's a real shame.

For me, if it was between the 2 Ellies dances, I enjoyed the Charlestown far more than the Rhumba but there again I've never really liked the Rhumba. It just seems like a set of stilted poses with the same moves but I know we're all different in what styles of dance we like to watch.

Sweetpeasue Sun 06-Nov-22 20:10:54

Charleston!

Actually I've come across Ellie several times already recently while flicking channels. She's full of fun and ideal for quizzes and game shows.

I too was upset to see Ellie go, but I think it’s probably the right time. She is such a delightful lady - so humble and eager to be a success. Having said that, I can’t understand why Tony is still there. Kym’s Argentine tango was fabulous and so refreshing to have proper Argentine tango music to go with it - rather than some mis-matched “pop” song. I too am wondering why Shirley is saying “best I’ve ever seen” on more than one occasion? Hamza’s high scores puzzle me - he’s good - but not that good as to warrant such high scores IMO. and Motzi - please stop SHOUTING!

Fleurpepper Sun 06-Nov-22 21:24:10

Ellie's partner Nikita has been wonderful- so so supportive but never condescending, and he was truly moved too. His attitude really impressed me.

Calendargirl Sun 06-Nov-22 21:30:49

I think the high scores and the extravagant comments are to convince us all how great it all is ‘this is the best Strictly year ever blah blah.’

They’ve got to keep upping the excitement to hang onto the viewers.

volver Sun 06-Nov-22 21:30:57

I wasn't so keen on Nikita last year but he's really impressed me this year - dancing and the way he behaved.

Hellogirl1 Sun 06-Nov-22 22:14:34

He stood next to us in the hotel bar after the Strictly show at the O2 last February, he was wearing a jumper that looked to be full of moth holes, the BBC really should pay him more, lol!

BigBertha1 Sun 06-Nov-22 22:33:53

I agree about Motsis shouting...drives me mad and her comments are so oblique. Time for a new judge

Mollygo Sun 06-Nov-22 23:58:35

I can’t really complain if I think the wrong person goes out because I don’t vote. Does everyone on here vote?

rafichagran Mon 07-Nov-22 00:12:28

If people vote for Tony, he will stay in, simple. This happens most years where dancers who are not as good as others get voted time after time.

Kim19 Mon 07-Nov-22 01:41:47

Yes, I vote every week.

Calendargirl Mon 07-Nov-22 07:12:56

Yes, I vote every week.

I vote for the dances I’ve enjoyed the most, not necessarily the best ones.

I voted for Molly this week, her dance was good and I guessed she might be in the dance off, which lo and behold, she was.
I thought my vote might be needed.

If the judges rave over someone who I don’t think was very good, i.e. Jayde when she was still here, they definitely don’t get my vote.

I use my 3 free votes online.

I'm another person who has been impressed with Nikit's behaviour and attitude with Ellie S. in this series.

Sweetpeasue Mon 07-Nov-22 07:48:47

I vote every week too.

I do like Strictly but watch my recording on Sundays so I can fast forward through all the padding. But I’m finding it hard to watch nowadays because of all the constant American style whooping which is doing my head in.

Good for you Calendargirl. I think Molly needs votes because she is not well known amongst the age range who actually vote on Strictly. Going by my DGC I'm not sure her young CBBC fans necessarily have phones or are allowed by parents to use them to vote like adults do.

Same here and as Strictly follows The Wheel which is also full of hysterical whooping I’m thinking of turning the sound down and using sub titles.

As long as lovely Tyler stays in, I don't care!

TillyTrotter Mon 07-Nov-22 16:43:09

Watching “lovely Tyler” dance is my guilty pleasure Clawdy . What a smile he has?
