Last week's postponed Strictly is on tonight at 7pm. Apparently Rose & Giovanni will be reprising their winning routine.

I feel for Ellie S. Am no dancer myself, but think she does some excellent footwork and executes all her dances to the best of her capabilities. Nikita does a great job partnering her.
I thought Craig’s comments were very fair, and we are coming to a stage in the competition that will sadly mean she just can’t be compared with the likes of Tyler, Molly et al.

She seems so happy and enthusiastic about it all, a lovely personality.

I didn't watch it tonight.

I really dislike all the dressing up for Hallowe'en, took one look at Shirley with the hand and turned it off!

Let me know what happens please 🙂

I enjoyed tonight's programme, it wasn't too silly. I think Ellie S's dance was too slow and boring. She might be in trouble.

Deedaa Sat 29-Oct-22 21:45:29

Thought Ellie and Johannes' costumes were wonderful and I loved the dance.

Charleygirl5 Sat 29-Oct-22 21:38:24

I could not believe how well Tony danced this evening but thought, like last week, it would be my mistake and he would be slated but no, he did well.

I agree I think it will be Ellie S and Nikita against James with James leaving.

I am in tune mentally with Craig, his scores and mine were identical for each couple.

Casdon Sat 29-Oct-22 21:35:31

Tony should stay for sheer effort and improvement I think, he’s come on so much each week. I didn’t love James, or Kym.

And wasn't Tony a surprise?

Yes indeed!

And wasn't Tony a surprise?

It was one of the best Halloween shows I can remember and not a “Monster Mash” in sight.
Ellie and Molly and Tyler got my votes. 👻 🎃

Sparklefizz Sat 29-Oct-22 20:40:06

Wow! What a fabulous night of dance. And having decent music makes all the difference.

The costumes and makeup were terrific. Yes, Craig makes a good Morticia.

I'm finding it very difficult who to choose to vote for. I thought Molly's Argentine Tango was fantastic but weird marks from Craig imo.

Tyler was brilliant as usual, and also Hamza, and I loved Fleur's Salsa and all the lifts even though technically the judges found fault.

Normally I don't much like Couples Choice but tonight Ellie T and Johannes were great and I loved it. And Will's mummies doing the Cha Cha was inspired.

I didn't go much on the Bumble Bee (James) and I suspect he and maybe Ellie S will be in the dance off.

What a night! Loved it!

Grannynannywanny Sat 29-Oct-22 20:39:34

Tony has made a big improvement since week 1 !

rafichagran Sat 29-Oct-22 20:35:06

Hamza, Ellie are my favourites tonight.

Grandmabatty Sat 29-Oct-22 20:05:46

Many of the comments from all the judges have been critical tonight. I liked Hamza's dance but it was criticised. Marks were still good though

Molly is my favourite so far this evening. I feel Will could be in the dance off. He was one of my favourites at the start but I think maybe he has peaked and won’t survive much longer.

TillyTrotter Sat 29-Oct-22 19:39:34

Yes agreed Grandmabatty . Craig and Anton made mean comments - thank goodness Motsi and Shirley saw the greatness of it.

Grandmabatty Sat 29-Oct-22 19:37:32

I loved Molly's Argentine tango!

TillyTrotter Sat 29-Oct-22 19:32:48

Ooh where is everyone this evening?
I’m enjoying the Halloween Strictly and Tony - well he has really surprised with a very good dance. He is trying so hard that is obvious.
Craig looks a doppelgänger for Anjelica Huston’s Mortician Addams!

?
When obesity in children is supposedly a cause for concern, I'm not sure that this is a good idea.

Showing impossibly slim princesses is wrong too.

Joseanne Thu 27-Oct-22 13:50:05

I'm guessing this could have a thread if its own, but I'm dropping it in here for the moment as it is current to this discussion.
Disney has just brought out a new film showing the worries around body image in children and I assume how to be proud of who you are.
I can't make my mind up whether this is now being taken too far or whether normalising it is a good thing. I find it a bit disturbing targeting such a young viewing audience when little children already have enough to take on board.

This leaves Tony Adams and James Bye the nice ‘Eastenders’ actor as the weakest dancers - but both have a large fan base so we will have to wait and see what happens next Saturday.

It will be interesting because as it is Halloween week the contestants can fool around, and ironically it might be more about the performance this time than the dancing.

Calendargirl Tue 25-Oct-22 09:10:27

Don’t think Kym Marsh will last long either, as she doesn’t seem that popular, although her dancing is better than some.

It’s a popularity contest in the earlier stages, definitely.

Later on, the poor dancers get weeded out.

Thanks Mollygo
Revisiting the hostess trolley ?

Mollygo Mon 24-Oct-22 13:37:33

I loved Victoria Wood and the Ballad of Barry and Freda.
Unfortunately, I shall see that dance if I think of it in future!

Yes that blighted my recollection too, but watching this a couple of times helped to blot it out.
