Jane I find some of her behaviour unacceptable for anyone, regardless of age or sex.
In fact, I’d be more critical of an old geezer who carries on the way that she does.

I agree that if men talked about their encounters with women and girls in the same way she talks about her sexual encounters with men they'd be labelled lecherous, dirty old men, creeps.

Should we say that it's acceptable because she's a woman?
It seems strange, too, because she is a lesbian.
Was she trying to prove something to herself?

Perhaps I haven't seen the worst of her, but nothing I saw put me off her.

His stand up comedy was very funny, I thought.

I loved her memoirs, beautifully narrated showcasing her wonderful voice and acting skills.

I like her. I find it somewhat fascinating that people often show a dislike for women who aren't necessarily acting in a socially acceptable manner for a woman of their age.

I'd be amazed if she's shown at the Heide Gallery, but happy to be proven wrong... I thought she'd just had portraits done of her by other artists

There was an exhibition of her paintings at the Heide gallery. I thought they were quite crude. She is an Australian, just for your information, if you needed to know Volver. Find it hard to believe you didn’t though.

I think they may have been paintings of her, about her, nanna8 perhaps painted by several artists.

I've just finished watching all of Miriam's moments on Graham Norton, and she hasn't said anything tooo bad.

She has a very beautiful face, too, which I never realised.

Depends what you call 'too bad'. I have heard her telling the most revolting and vulgar stories with a smile on her face which says it all. She feigns innocence and sometimes ignorance, as if she had no idea people might be shocked. She's just being ‘her normal self’ and is so innocent she doesn't realise the effect this will have. Yeah right. It’s all a big attention-seeking act and I can see right through her.

Good point about scripted things. As I’ve said, I like to see her in the Miss Fisher Mysteries, Call the Midwife and Harry Potter and I remember her in one film strangely (considering the focus of this thread), called How to Lose Friends and Alienate People.
