So changing your mind because something reflects badly on you is an excuse for wishing someone dead in the first place?

She changed her mind because she thought it would reflect badly on her. So it was OK for her to say she got it wrong but not for people on here to say they got it wrong?

By the way volver I do nor see you as a bad person. I see you as someone who has strong opinions clearly articulated, but never resorting to vile language.

If Putin was to die, a lot of other people would not die, most likely as it is likely the war would come to an end. This argument can only be used in very specific circumstances which do not apply to MM.

So then I wanted him to get better, which he did do, he did get better. But he didn’t get better as a human being. And I really would prefer that.

No marks for honesty then? In this world today I wish people would just check things out and consider what people say and mean, rather that jumping to the conclusions that they are vile or need a good wash. And saying afterwards that you got it wrong, doesn't count. The readers of this thread now think that MM said Boris should die of Covid. Damage to Ms Margolyes reputation all done, and there's nothing you can do about it.

I think wishing people to be dead is quite unkind myself. Clearly I have different values than some on here.

I saw it reported that this woman has said she wished Boris Johnson would die when he had Covid. If this is true then she is an even more vile person than I thought she was. No one can make any claim to be an even half decent human being if one wishes other people dead!
I’m surprised by the number of accolades Gransnetters find themselves able to give to this woman. I dislike her intensely because she exhibits quite vile qualities, but I do not wish her to be dead!

Unlike many here MM is unfiltered but never unkind. I for one think she’s a fascinating and extremely talented person. She’d be my number one choice for a dinner party guest..farts and all!

I dont swear .ever ,but I grew up in Glasgow where swearing is normal.My best friend swears like a trooper,its not offensive ,its just her .I feel like that about MM .I dont find her swearing offensive but I wish she had said it to his face ,for all of us who are of that opinion .

When I met her she was lovely and we talked about her home in Italy. There were children around so no swearing or farting.
