BG said he'd put handcuffs on the man, saying it was classed as assault which he admitted too, but denied handcuffing him to a radiator and beating him with a chain.

It was a classic example of 'do what I say, not what I do' when he expressed his annoyance at being asked a difficult question he may find uncomfortable/difficult to answer.

And who was there, quietly listening and passing no comment or judgement at the time or afterwards? Matt.

I don't think he's a 'smart cookie'. He's just well educated and polite. As Sue said, he's a numbers man plonked down with a mass of 'creatives.'

Yes, and usually the creatives are better value for money for the tv company, and usually the creative are crowned winners at the end. This time round, however, the tables have turned somewhat, whether intentionally I don't know.

Matts face when Boy George's crime was mentioned! I couldn't work out if he was concerned for BG or mystified because he hadn't got a clue.

I enjoyed the programme a bit more last night because of more people joining in. The tea cup ride looked Vom-inducing! It was nice that Jill and Sue gave their ball to Owen so he could eat and that he was so grateful, calling them his Mum and Sister.

I keep rooting for Moyles and George to suffer a difficult trial because I don't like them.

Moyles has never struck me as a very nice person, and he has been coming across as sneering and judgemental in the camp. So he's been taken care of now with that last trial. Embarrassingly bad.

George thinks he has the right to do exactly as he wants and make his own rules. But no-one else has the right to tell him what to do, and he won't abide by anyone else's rules. This is the sign of utter privilege, someone who has been stroppy with authority all their life and making life difficult for other people. I hope he gets a difficult trial.

Re the balls, why did BG give his ball to Charlene when previously he had been complaining about how she bossed him around in the cooking?

I don't like Chris Moyles' face.

Is that enough reason to wish him a horrible trial?

I don't like Moyles at all. I disagree about BG, as some people who reject authority are just rebels and rebels can happen at every station of life

For all his meditation and noisy chanting BG is totally selfish. It doesn't seem to occur to him that there can be points of view other than his own. Taking the others' towels, complaining about helping out etc. Self self self.
He'd even forgotten that Charlene hasn't been the cook for days now. Just trying to make a grand gesture.

Boy George committed a very serious crime and doesn’t want to talk about it. But wants to talk about things other people have done that are perfectly legal.

I wouldn't either. They are equals, no one is in control.

Choices are important in life. To remove choice is to have a dictatorship. I'm thinking BG comes across as a loner, who has always pleased himself and has a strong idea of what he does and doesn't feel comfortable with accepting.

I keep feeling sorry for Scarlette that on coming out she will hear that her co presenter Jonnie Irwin doesn't have long to live. 😥

He seriously assaulted a man, so seriously that he was sentenced to fifteen months in prison. He was lucky because he was let out after four months, wearing a tag.

That's really sad for Scarlette.

Many people who are not used to being authentic or comfortable with being themselves , will find BG uncomfortable. I'm not saying I'm a fan, but what I have noticed is that he knows himself well, is true to himself as an individual and is not afraid to stick out for what he believes.

He has been dealt with for that crime, though, unless rehabilitation isn't feasible, now?

It is without fail used often on here as one of the sole reasons for prison.

I agree with you Onward to a certain extent but don't agree that being nice to someone's face and then criticising them behind their back is being true to oneself.

FWIW, I wasn't comfortable when Scarlette broached the subject of his arrest but then I wasn't comfortable with how Matt was treated for the first few days after his arrival, and continues to be treated by some, more often than not behind his back.

Exactly maddyone, he is being pretty obnoxious and shows little remorse.

He hasn't done much when I stopped watching, but nothing obnoxious.

I'll have to watch again now so I can monitor the situation.

I wasn’t suggesting he’s done anything criminal on this programme of course. He does grumble somewhat about other people, particularly Matt, and he is very self willed, perhaps not so much a team player, although I think he’s done well on his trials. It wasn’t his fault that the other two didn’t do well. The first trial he did with Matt I think, he was good.
But he shouldn’t try to pretend he didn’t commit that serious crime because he was convicted and served time for it.
