I'm a celebrity

I can’t see another thread so apologies if there is
After years of not bothering with “I m a celebrity get me out of here” I decided to have a look as I like Boy George
And I have to say I m in now so will need to keep watching this ridiculously daft programme even if it’s just to combat the depressing days
Anyway what do you all think ?

It was major news when he was caught in a photograph snogging behind the bike shed with his dance partner, she being married and he in a relationship.

I have no idea who Sean Walsh is or why he is famous. I know nothing about what happened on Strictly with him either.

Chestnut Fri 11-Nov-22 10:31:57

Seann Walsh has in the past always seemed rather unpleasant to me, very loud, full of himself and yet with no talent. His first day consisted of laughing, presumably his way of dealing with the unknown, but he is revealing himself a bit more now. He does seem to have been affected by the kissing incident, or is he just sorry for himself because his career went down the pan afterwards?

I don’t think Matt Hancock should be on I’m a Celebrity, however given that he is, I think he shouldn’t do all the trials.
MH was not responsible for murdering people. What he was was part of a government that made collective decisions with regard to management of the Covid crisis. People can agree or disagree with the decisions that are made, but I would say it was a difficult and unprecedented time as we were dealing with a novel virus. In other word never encountered before. Who can say with any certainty that other people, or themselves, would have done it better? However much people chitter chatter about it, the reality is they just don’t know.
My grouse with MH is that he should be working in Parliament and not doing trials in the jungle. But for God’s sake, let some of the others do some of the trials.

Thankyou Fanny, I can always rely on you!
I will be honest and say I am not at all surprised. There is something about him I find deeply unnerving.

Galaxy

I dont watch strictly so the whole 'scandal' with Sean Walsh is news to me. Was he really so hated? I thought everyone had affairs on strictly.

Sorry, my post was in reply to Galaxy

Walsh’s ex girlfriend Rebecca Humphries wrote a very well received book about his coercive control, she suffered PTSD after their relationship ended.
She also spoke in the House of Commons about coercive control.

I didn't mean to upset you, Lucca. smile

By a challenge I don't mean the little games that the moles were playing!

Chestnut Fri 11-Nov-22 09:29:56

If Matt is chosen for all the challenges then how can we judge the others if they're just siting around the camp chatting and eating? They all need to take their turn. Anyone doing a challenge should be exempt until everyone has had one.

DanniRae Fri 11-Nov-22 09:23:13

I LOVED thursday night's programme. Matt was amazing in his trial. The 'moles' all did well and it was heartwarming to see them all getting their luxury goods. The only one who is annoying me is George. He was the only one who didn't join in "Sweet Caroline" - he thinks he's too cool I suppose! hmm

GrannyGravy13 Fri 11-Nov-22 09:17:35

Looking forward to the trial this evening with Boy George & Matt Hancock.

Boy George is a vegan so I wonder what he will have to eat/drink, Matt will have the real nasty meals/drinks.

Aveline Fri 11-Nov-22 09:06:03

I'm finding his noisy Buddhist chanting irritating.

Galaxy Fri 11-Nov-22 09:02:37

I think Boy George would do well in trials, he did ok in the first one.

Joseanne Fri 11-Nov-22 08:38:00

it ain't what you say it's the way that you say it
So true, 100 times true.

Aveline Fri 11-Nov-22 08:21:28

Matt's doing better than I expected. Of course his comments are all written up in the tabloids but, as ever, it ain't what you say it's the way that you say it, and he came over as just straight.
Mike, Seann and Boy George all have skeletons in their cupboards. I want to see the ridiculously self important Boy George face some trials. Looks like others think the same.

Joseanne Fri 11-Nov-22 08:16:52

Mike might get frustrated and resentful if trials don't come his way, so who knows how he might react.

Millie22 Fri 11-Nov-22 07:51:43

Chestnut
I agree with you.

I'm liking Matt a lot and George is a very unpleasant person.

MawtheMerrier Fri 11-Nov-22 07:47:29

I am confused zoejory confused

Zoejory Fri 11-Nov-22 07:45:07

It was a trial and a half! That tune amount of sure he he had towards the end of the trial! I think if have fainted! Good job well done

GrannyGravy13 Fri 11-Nov-22 07:40:02

I thought the trial last night was dreadful, Matt Hancock was rather resilient to get all eleven stars 👏👏👏

Allsorts Fri 11-Nov-22 06:51:30

Boy George is the last person to be passing judgement. He should be looking at his own past. Look at most of them, they should be judged as harshly as Matt. One stands out and that's Jill, she is friendly, up for everything and genuine. Don't like Chris, find him unpleasant, like to see him do what Matt did, he is all talk. Sean only did what most of them are done, he made a mistake but haven't we all, he is a good guy I think. The others all wishy-washy. How Mike can the high ground I don't know. I like him, he's up for anything and bored, he would like to do the challenges, but by keep voting for Matt you don't see what others are capable of, but one thing for sure apart from Mike I can't see anyone else doing what Matt did, certainly not Chris. Matt should be in parliament, but he wasn't to blame for everything that went wrong during Covid, everyone knows what should have been done with hindsight. His plan is working because we are seeing his strengths. I think the only strong ones that are all rounders are Jill, Matt and Mike.

Who do you think is going to win? My money is on Baba

Lucca Fri 11-Nov-22 00:23:18

henetha

There are dishonest cheaters in every walk of life. I just enjoy celebrity in the jungle for what it is, an entertainment show. Just chill, - or avoid it completely.

I am avoiding it. Please don’t tell me to chill about something I feel strongly about.

Chestnut Thu 10-Nov-22 23:52:38

Well I thought that was a very daunting challenge and he did it brilliantly. I can't see George or Moyles getting more than one star, so it would have been interesting to see them doing it.

This has all backfired because Matt is doing so well and tackling the challenges so bravely. Voting him in every time gives him the chance to shine and be a hero, while the others all sit on the sidelines doing nothing and proving nothing.
