I can’t see another thread so apologies if there is
After years of not bothering with “I m a celebrity get me out of here” I decided to have a look as I like Boy George
And I have to say I m in now so will need to keep watching this ridiculously daft programme even if it’s just to combat the depressing days
Anyway what do you all think ?

I know Fanny and PETA are also demanding the show being taken off air.

I can't get too upset about maggots though. Maybe I'm just an awful person.

I heard Janet Street-Porter say that certain medical conditions rule contestants out of some trials due to being not insurable.

I always watch and enjoy the show. I even used to buy edible bugs and re-enact challenges with the GCs when young.

Way to go, shysal!

Matt Hancock and Seann Walsh are joining them today. Not sure what that means, will they be on tonight's programme in the UK? Should be interesting to see how the others greet MH because there must be some animosity brewing. Was he deliberately held back to enable the others to bond which would isolate him even more?

I assume they all have a medical when they apply and probably just before they go in?

Smileless2012 Tue 08-Nov-22 10:59:10

The show has been bringing in two more celebs a few days after the others arrival for a few years now, so I doubt it has anything to do with isolating MH or the same would apply to Seann Walsh too.

MissAdventure Tue 08-Nov-22 11:00:02

I really enjoyed last night's episode.

I'm always a bit aghast at all the kissing and cuddling they do.

Joseanne Tue 08-Nov-22 11:01:52

Do you think they have spare contestants on standby should there be several drop outs?

Smileless2012 Tue 08-Nov-22 11:04:05

I can't remember a spare ever being brought in Joseanne they tend to delay the evictions if there's been a reduction of contestants.

Dreadful programme - I read someone describe it as akin to the Roman Colosseum where sadists went to watch other human beings suffer

MissAdventure Tue 08-Nov-22 11:09:33

They all come out saying what a marvellous experience it was, though.

Smileless2012 Tue 08-Nov-22 11:10:51

Well at least they go into it willingly which wasn't the case with the Roman Coloseeum.

Smileless2012 Tue 08-Nov-22 11:11:37

oops Colosseum

Zoejory Tue 08-Nov-22 11:18:23

MH was a late arrival. So he had to isolate for the week. They want him in asap due to Olivia leaving.

It's an entertaining programme and most of the contestants seem to have a fantastic time with friends for life

Not sure how MH will be received. I don't think I'd be too keen on being confronted with him. Never liked him even before Covid.

As for the dreadful Covid disaster. How will he talk himself out of that one? He can't.

But that is human nature (for quite a lot of people) to watch others suffer. We had the stocks where the guilty were pelted with rotten fruit. People lined the streets to see public executions. Admittedly they had supposedly committed a crime, but people still wanted to see others suffer.

Zoejory Tue 08-Nov-22 11:22:22

I don't think any of the jungle celebrities are suffering.

MissAdventure Tue 08-Nov-22 11:22:32

It isn't my idea of suffering.
Not that I'd want to do it.

HousePlantQueen Tue 08-Nov-22 12:31:57

I started to feel my chest constricting and breathing getting difficult as Chris Moyes was in the tank with the water getting ever nearer, my nightmare being enacted in front of me. Would rather have been sticking my hands in the holes as the girls were. I did laugh when someone shouted 'It's twins!" when the tubes were opened and they both whooshed out in a burst of water grin

MissAdventure Tue 08-Nov-22 12:33:56

The eating challenges get me, every time.
I can't always watch them or I've been known to be sick.

Beckett Tue 08-Nov-22 12:41:50

Really? Because from the photos in the newspapers today Chris Moyles doesn't look as if he is having a great time!

MissAdventure Tue 08-Nov-22 12:44:14

He is going to prove troublesome, I think.
.whether that's a game plan or just how he is remains to be seen.

I don't like him, though.

BlueBelle Tue 08-Nov-22 14:27:14

Oh come on Beckett they are laughing all he way to the bank They can say STOP at any time they have doctors and helpers all over the place if there was a problem
My everyday life is much more dangerous that that programme
Lighten up they are not in any danger they have ropes on them when they climb anything they can be whisked out of anything in a heartbeat You’re in more danger crossing the road 😂😂😂

Moyles is as dull as ditch water.
I never got his act in the 90s and 00’s.
Definitely a case of the emperor’s new clothes at the time.

MissAdventure Tue 08-Nov-22 14:39:50

He comes across as very full of himself, but trying to be mr. nice guy.

Bet he can't keep it up.
That woman who plays eileen in corrie seems nice.

Joseanne Tue 08-Nov-22 15:00:37

I said I liked Chris Moyles but I got the wrong person and was thinking of another celeb who lost a lot of weight, but that name escapes me too! 😃
Owen is funny.
