I can’t see another thread so apologies if there is
After years of not bothering with “I m a celebrity get me out of here” I decided to have a look as I like Boy George
And I have to say I m in now so will need to keep watching this ridiculously daft programme even if it’s just to combat the depressing days
Anyway what do you all think ?

I loathe this programme with a passion. I have tried and tried and tried but always switch off after 15 minutes.

Crumbs Mon 21-Nov-22 14:11:39

It’s not my cup of tea to put it mildly. I watched it for about half an hour last weekend to see what I was missing. It appears I’m missing nothing.

@ NannaGrandad
I wouldn’t mind being humiliated for the thousands and thousands of pounds their getting paid … no problem!

NannaGrandad Mon 21-Nov-22 14:00:38

I can’t bear to see people humiliated so never watch anything like this, it just makes me feel uncomfortable.

TiggyW Mon 21-Nov-22 13:56:24

EEJit - Football is also on TV constantly, so you could always watch that instead! 😎🙄
I agree with previous comments that this year’s contestants haven’t gelled as much as in other years. There’s a lot of gossiping behind backs, which didn’t happen last year. I think Matt Hancock has performed very well, but I don’t think he should be there since he’s being paid to be a serving MP. Parliament isn’t in recess! Well done to Adam Hills for taking his place yesterday at Mildenhall(?).👍 Does anyone on here live there? If Hancock was our MP I’d be furious!!

Theoddbird
That’s what I used to say

Theoddbird Mon 21-Nov-22 13:53:19

It is absolute rubbish...don't watch it smile

Sara1954 Mon 21-Nov-22 13:47:22

This is only my second year of watching, and only because I’ve had grandchildren living here, but I have become hooked.
I don’t vote, but my granddaughter does, always for Owen and Scarlette, I can’t imagine anyone sitting at home and saying, oh, i think I’ll vote for Sue, she seems like a lovely person.

Smileless2012 Mon 21-Nov-22 13:46:36

And wouldn't it be great to be a fly on the wall when they did Dottydots so we could see the look on their facesgrin.

Dottydots Mon 21-Nov-22 13:37:00

I wonder whether the contestants will ever read all the comments on this thread. If so, it would certainly be an eye opener for some of them to know what we think about them.

Nanatoone Mon 21-Nov-22 13:30:15

I couldn’t believe that Scarlette and Baba were in the bottom two, both of them are nice people. I wondered if people thought they were voting people out and not in. Scarlette is a lovely girl, I hope she does well out of this.

Saggi Mon 21-Nov-22 13:18:48

Never watched it…never will watch anything attached to the word celebrity! Too many unread books out there waiting for me .

Namsnanny

Is this the program the politician is on?
No one has mentioned him.

Yes it is. He’s done really well, winning all the stars when he was being voted to do the trials night after night. Some if the other camp mates just sniped about him behind his back, namely Boy George, Chris Moyles, Charlene White and Sue Cleaver but gladly tucked into the food he’d won.
Shot themselves in the foot though as he’s now very popular with the public according to Facebook.

Lollipop1 Mon 21-Nov-22 13:03:54

This is the first year I have felt that the people in there don't really 'gel'. Most of them are bullies and usually there's a couple of really nice people accepting of all. They should have left their politics at home and judged the others by what they found them to be like from day one in the jungle. Whatever Matt has done, he's not responsible for covid, he took advice from the so called experts. I don't see anyone having a go at Boy George who has turned out to be a tad unpleasant. Disappointed with Charlene for not sleeping in the caravan, she definitely showed she was biased. All round..... I LOVE IT!

Zoejory Mon 21-Nov-22 12:57:37

I've decided I want Owen to win. I think he's an absolute delight.

bluebird243 Mon 21-Nov-22 12:54:21

Yes my eyes have been opened re: Sue, her whole attitude/stirring and relishing talking of her toilet habits. Just juvenile. Like the whole programme.

Another one showing themselves up is the complete narcissist Boy George. Scarlett came over as genuine, as do Owen and Jill and Babatunde, even Seann. Not sure of the others who I think are not really being themselves.

I'm watching because of Jill Scott, for representing and working so hard to promote women's football for years. I hope she wins.

Nannapat1 Mon 21-Nov-22 12:52:37

I watched the first few series but now never watch it as I don't agree with the treatment and sometimes slaughter of insects and rodents merely for entertainment's sake. I would prefer it to be stopped.

Juicylucy Mon 21-Nov-22 12:41:12

Always been an avid watcher since it first started, it helps me get through the darker nights. I like finding out what the celebs are really like. Easy viewing.

DeeDe Mon 21-Nov-22 12:40:33

I think Boy George, Jill, Seann, Owen and Perhaps Mike are the only trying to be real ones in there … as for Sue, well what a eye opener she’s a lazy, bully, who seems to delight in announcing her toilet habits and now sucking up-to Mike
Horrible woman I was really surprised at her.

Zoejory Mon 21-Nov-22 12:37:08

Only 6 more days to go.

EEJit Mon 21-Nov-22 12:36:10

I got bored with so I haven't watched it, but, it's on every night, in the papers, on the news, and on various morning tv programs. For crying out loud, give it a rest.

Callistemon21 Mon 21-Nov-22 11:48:17

I could never walk along parallel bars even if they were fixed, so well done anyway!

I am so shocked that the lovely Scarlett has gone!
Does anyone else think that the wobbly wooden bar they had to walk along to earn someone else's letter had been tightened before the last group attempted it?? It certainly seemed to get easier!!

Yes, DH and I noticed it wasn't as wobbly!

Ooh, I didn't notice that. I did think it was a ridiculous trial. Seemed doomed to fail. But I did wonder why the last group seemed to do so well. Makes sense now!
