I can’t see another thread so apologies if there is
After years of not bothering with “I m a celebrity get me out of here” I decided to have a look as I like Boy George
And I have to say I m in now so will need to keep watching this ridiculously daft programme even if it’s just to combat the depressing days
Anyway what do you all think ?

Watch ot a couple of times many years ago. It's not my kind of programme, in fact if it begins with Celebrity I refuse to watch it. So many of the people on them are not celebrities until afterwards..

There are lots of programmes I don't watch but also don't feel compelled to post saying that I don't watch them as I think they're awful. 😑

Mike Tindall to win, what a man!! Leave luke in till the end. As Sue says 'he's the gift that keeps on giving" so funny especially when he called mike's wife lara !!

Do you mean Owen, not Luke (?) jerseygirl? He is so funny!
" I don't know what lacerated (liver) means but it sounds painful!" grin
He makes Joey Essex from a few years back look positively brainy!

Helz

Boy George did his time in prison & admitted he was high on drugs & drink think he’s been clean for years now

If he had done that to a female, would we be so forgiving?

For the man he kidnapped, tied up and beat with a chain, it must be traumatising to see George living it up on TV.

I don't accept being high on drugs as an excuse

I don't mind people saying they think a programme is awful, I just don't like the occasional inferences that those who watch it might be shallow or have a low IQ. Or be some kind of dimwits. I can laugh at myself for watching such a rubbish programme, it provides light relief.
At the moment our DS + wife are staying with us for 3 months, we are all highly educated, work all day with our heads in research, projects or school books, and all sit down together with the chocolates watching Celebrity Jungle for a laugh, just that.

I met some friends for coffee and a spot of birdwatching this morning and the conversation wandered from Strictly, which we all love, to I’m a Celebrity. Nobody admitted to watching it but then somebody said she’d sort of looked at it while changing channels. So how did we then know all the names of the contestants and chat about who we wanted to win and what we wanted to happen to Matt Hancock??

Shallow dimwits, all of us! 😂😂

Sometimes corny trivial TV is just what I need, it makes me giggle and a pleasant distraction from all the crap going on in the world.

Jeanraff Wed 09-Nov-22 17:20:30

My life is too short.

Lucca Wed 09-Nov-22 18:17:24

I’ve nothing against people watching whatever they want, (I watch some absolute rubbish!) but is nobody else bothered about Matt Hancock being in it ??! A serving MP and a bad one at that .

Zoejory Wed 09-Nov-22 18:33:23

Matt Hancock shouldn't be in it. But he's not breaking any laws. He clearly has the hide of a rhino. I'm not sure how the contestants will react but I'm pretty sure he'll be nominated for every trial going.

MissAdventure Wed 09-Nov-22 21:22:16

Seems like a bit of a man crush going on between the comedian and Matt Hancock.

Galaxy Wed 09-Nov-22 21:52:45

I am finding Sean Walsh more irritating than Matt Hancock which is quite an incredible achievement.

Me too, he seems to me to have a false laugh.

MissAdventure Wed 09-Nov-22 21:58:27

I wonder how George is going to be with him?

Joseanne Wed 09-Nov-22 21:59:17

Why did Sean follow Matt like a silly school boy? They would have been better at finding stars if they'd gone in different directions.

MissAdventure Wed 09-Nov-22 22:05:28

It's embarrassing the way he's fawning over Hancock.

BlueBelle Wed 09-Nov-22 22:28:05

Hancock is embarrassing Sue and George and Charlene are all uncomfortable with him

Curlywhirly Wed 09-Nov-22 22:29:15

I need to give my head a wobble - I've started to feel sorry for Matt Hancock! I really need to toughen up 😯

Smileless2012 Wed 09-Nov-22 22:35:39

I found Sue, George and Charlene's reaction to MH rather embarrassing.

I hadn't realised how awful it was for male escort that George abused.

Zoejory Wed 09-Nov-22 22:39:39

I think that they coped with MH well under the circumstances. Boy George has been a huge disappointment. I just don't think he's particularly pleasant.

Kate1949 Wed 09-Nov-22 22:49:59

Curlywhirly I said to my husband 'I bet we'll all feel sorry for Matt at the end of this!'

merlotgran Wed 09-Nov-22 23:25:42

I really don’t want to come out of this actually liking Matt Cockwomble.

Kate1949 Wed 09-Nov-22 23:34:26

Nor me.

Chestnut Wed 09-Nov-22 23:54:10

Well I'll admit I've been quite impressed with Matt Hancock! He actually did well in his first challenge and showed some leadership abilities, so before it's over he might surprise us all.

We'll just have to wait and see how it goes, but even if George explodes and they have a ding dong I'm fairly confident MH will be able to hold his own. He's a politician, and is well used to handling confrontation. Should be fascinating.
