Yes, we all know it’s rubbish, but Corrie is an institution.

We need to have an active thread at all times.

Oh yes Spider is awful isn’t he totally wooden acting completely unbelievable in fact he’s vying for first place with Stephen
I hope Daisy doesn’t get killed I like her character much nicer than the other new barmaid
availine it s on record that the police don’t always take women being stalked seriously a few years ago a young Asian lady was murdered and she had been to the police numerous times with complaints of fear

vegansrock Thu 23-Feb-23 08:32:00

There’s so much crime in Corrie at the mo. Far right terrorism, stalking, serial killer Stephen, drug dealing etc etc Craigie has a lot on his plate.

Aveline Thu 23-Feb-23 08:25:50

I fear for Max too. It's good that Daniel is at hand.
The Daisy stalker story is pretty unpleasant. Surely the Police could do something? Come on Craigie

vegansrock Thu 23-Feb-23 08:02:38

Would Archdeacon Billy really be having unwed gay relationships and still be in a position of authority in the church?

Calendargirl Thu 23-Feb-23 07:25:01

I thought Alya’s reading of her victim statement in front of her gran was good acting, on both parts.

Doodledog Wed 22-Feb-23 23:05:48

He really is. I suppose that's what is needed in an undercover one, but all the same . . .

NotTooOld Wed 22-Feb-23 22:21:15

Anyone else get the feeling Max is going to commit suicide? I think that's why he wants to see the family.

Oh gosh, I hope not. I watch Corrie for a bit of light relief. There is more than enough bad news in real life. I preferred Corrie when it had a sense of humour. It's grim now, especially tonight's episode with Alya having a go at Max and Spider having a go at Griff, even if they both deserved it. Does anyone else think Spider is a very unconvincing cop?

Doodledog Wed 22-Feb-23 20:52:20

Oh I really hope not.

Also, what is going on with Paul? Is this as a result of the 'accident', or does he have some sort of neurological problem?

They all seem to be back working at Audrey’s old salon

But with very few customers. How does it break even?

Aveline Wed 22-Feb-23 08:34:10

Also what has happened to the barbers? They all seem to be back working at Audrey's old salon.

vegansrock Wed 22-Feb-23 05:32:35

David seems to be be going downhill fast. Shona reappears and immediately leaves. Gary is out to get him. Max won’t see him. I’ve no idea where Lily or the dog are. When does he ever do his hairdressing?

NotTooOld Tue 21-Feb-23 18:05:19

Deedee and Nick? I don't get that feeling. Maybe DeeDee and Adam when he finds out Sarah won't have another baby? I was also thinking Ryan and Leanne but now he seems to be back with Alya, so that horse (probably) won't run.

Would a legal secretary (or whatever Alya is supposed to be) have really barged into that meeting and offered to make the client a cup of tea? No, of course not, she would have apologised and backed out quietly until the meeting was finished.

I agree Maria would never have told Gary about David's 'lunge' as there was really nothing to tell. Pathetic. And would Shona have really walked out on David when she heard about the lunge? Especially as she said she had nowhere to go. I don't think so.

And why has wooden-top Zeedan been written out again? He's only just come back. Perhaps he's decided against another stint on the cobbles after all. I wish he'd taken the very annoying Jasmeen with him.

I must say the staff in the Young Offenders whatsit, where young Max is now incarcerated, seem very kindly. I wonder if that's the norm in such places. I suppose they have a duty of care so perhaps it is.

Aveline Tue 21-Feb-23 16:27:44

He took the little phials of LSD from his briefcase. Very nasty.

Calendargirl Tue 21-Feb-23 16:01:26

Doodledog

Yes, I hadn't noticed that, Aveline, but I will now grin

Where is Stephen getting all his drugs from, anyway?

He pinched them from that idiot who was going to do business with Underworld Doodledog

Rufus.

Aveline Tue 21-Feb-23 15:40:58

I'm fed up with a dialogue issue: if someone is asked a question they answer is always 'Yes,' first then the answer. Eg 'How were things with Summer?' answer 'Yes. She's going to uni now.' I hope you know what I mean!

Calendargirl Tue 21-Feb-23 09:16:49

I agree Clawdy.

And why is Carla always being depicted with a ‘brew’ clutched in her hands?

If only she abandoned all these drinks, evil Stephen would have no place to keep depositing his seemingly endless supply of hallucinogenic drugs!

Let’s hope he is spotted doing the dreadful deed on some occasion.

Clawdy Tue 21-Feb-23 09:07:52

There is no way Maria would have told Gary about David's attempted kiss, knowing how much he hates him. It would have made a bit more sense if Gary had spotted them on the bench. She would never have told Gary that.

Calendargirl Sat 18-Feb-23 12:16:55

How does Stephen manage to be in all places at all times?

Last night alone, he seemed to be;

In the street

In the factory

At the hospital

At Carla’s flat

Probably in the Rovers?

Kate1949 Sat 18-Feb-23 12:07:40

I don't understand why everyone is doing what Steven tells them to do and believes every word he says.

Marilla

I have stopped watching my beloved Corrie after the scripts became so badly written and scenarios became just plain daft.
I watch Classic Corrie on ITV 2 and love it.
Yes, there are the occasional silly scenarios but the acting and main stories are great.
Blanche, Fred, Norris are in great form at the moment!

I agree with every word of that.
I am doing exactly the same.

Clawdy Sat 18-Feb-23 08:50:01

There is yet another grim and harrowing storyline coming up apparently. Wish they would stop it.

Aveline Sat 18-Feb-23 08:47:11

Very nasty to drug her with LSD drops.

BlueBelle Sat 18-Feb-23 08:22:21

lemsip

I suspect stephen has drugged carla

No suspect there lensip haven’t you seen him putting drops in her morning coffee/tea
I cant wait for him to go inside prison /hospital / funeral parlour anywhere as long as he never comes out
