Gosh! He's not. Can't believe he's made the final. Who'd have thought that three weeks ago.

Aveline Sat 26-Nov-22 22:08:20

I bet Matt's out tonight somehow

Sweetpeasue Sat 26-Nov-22 22:06:16

Owen looked like Bambi, all legs!

Joseanne Sat 26-Nov-22 21:45:22

That looked harder than normal. I'm sure they ramped it up a bit.

tickingbird Sat 26-Nov-22 21:44:26

OMG Matt Hancock marching up to his star! I was in hysterics. Brilliant

Millie22 Sat 26-Nov-22 21:35:04

Oh my goodness.

Here we go!

Callistemon21 Sat 26-Nov-22 21:18:18

Oh good!
I need one ๐Ÿ™‚

Aveline Sat 26-Nov-22 21:16:41

There's nothing natural about this cyclone. You'll have a laugh.

Callistemon21 Sat 26-Nov-22 21:10:30

As my DD has gone through real cyclones I'll be interested to see what their version is.

Aveline Sat 26-Nov-22 21:09:29

I do watch it and have done in the past. It's usually quite entertaining but that doesn't mean I respect the 'celebs'.
Celebrity Cyclone tonight. That's usually good fun and no animals or creatures hurt.

Callistemon21 Sat 26-Nov-22 20:53:04

I diss anyone who takes part in a programme like this!

And, indeed, anyone who watches it I hope!!

In mitigation, we've never watched it before but the alternative seems to be football! ๐Ÿ˜‚
Although I admit to watching or reading anything about Australia, ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ

Aveline Sat 26-Nov-22 20:47:24

I diss anyone who takes part in a programme like this! It's just an entertainment programme for people who want to promote themselves in undignified activities for money.

Callistemon21 Sat 26-Nov-22 20:31:16

I think autocorrect chose geeky not me. ๐Ÿ™‚

Callistemon21 Sat 26-Nov-22 20:30:46

Aveline

I think you'll find I said 'gangly' not geeky. I have no idea if she's geeky. smile

gangly girl
Apologies.

That gangly girl is a top * English* sportswoman.

MawtheMerrier Sat 26-Nov-22 20:19:00

Sad to see an outstanding sportswoman dissed by other women ( gangly football girl )
If women cannot take womenโ€™s sport seriously how can we ever expect men to?

Aveline Sat 26-Nov-22 19:36:40

I think you'll find I said 'gangly' not geeky. I have no idea if she's geeky. smile

Callistemon21 Sat 26-Nov-22 19:09:19

And!

I often agree with you Aveline but on this occasion calling a professional sports woman of 35 that geeky girl* is rather ^disrespectful imo.

Callistemon21 Sat 26-Nov-22 19:05:12

Aveline

Yup I'm disrespectful about professional football and simply don't get why so many people seem to define themselves by whatever team they're following. I have 100% more respect for the little amateur teams who turn out on wet Sunday mornings week after week and actually play rather than just spectate. They don't earn anything either unlike the bloated pay packets of professional footballers. Rant over.

The women don't earn anything like the men.

They do inspire young people to get out and do a sport.
I'm not that interested in football and wouldn't be tribal but the women were great and much better behaved!

Joseanne Sat 26-Nov-22 17:51:56

I wonder whether they will give Jill the easiest ride in the cyclone tonight by letting her go first?

Lucca Sat 26-Nov-22 16:25:30

Agree maw

MawtheMerrier Sat 26-Nov-22 16:09:31

Aveline

I'm sorry Seann has gone. I don't care who wins any more. I most likely won't bother to watch the final. The winner will be that gangly football girl. I have no idea what a 'lioness' is or why they keep going on about it.

Goodness Aveline, itโ€™s not like you to be so rude about an international sportswoman even if the player in question played for England rather than Scotland!
It reinforces a private belief I have had for a wee while, namely that โ€œreality tvโ€ can bring out the worst in viewers as much as in competitors.
Disappointed!

Chestnut Sat 26-Nov-22 16:02:28

Especially as he was hammered at the start with some really horrible trials. Once people realised he was a good sport and not a coward they seemed to warm to him.

Aveline Sat 26-Nov-22 14:44:42

It's hard to believe that Matt's still in. Fair play to him though. He's been a good campmate.
