I didn't say that Meghan said she is as a survivor of DV. The lady who was in conversation with the late Queens lady In waiting, did say that Meghan was certainly a survivor of DV by her in laws. Would that include the Queen who was an in law?

She wasn’t laughing at herself!! FGS! She was mocking the Queen and the institution that she’s milked for all it’s worth.

I found that quite shocking. She was mocking the late Queen at having to curtsy to her. Harry looked embarrassed and so he should be. He thinks she’s like his late mother FGS. Diana would never have mocked the RF. She would be utterly appalled at the way the 2 of them are behaving, in particular the way Harry is behaving.

I haven't watched it, probably won't. I remember watching their wedding and thinking,
What a breath of fresh air for the RF,
and wishing them well...
I'm not a big fan of the RF and the monarchy although I had a lot of respect for the late Queen. However, I feel it is a mixed blessing that she is gone before this series is broadcast, it would be so hurtful for her.

In the early days, I certainly was never aware that Meghan was of mixed race, as if it mattered, and I certainly never read anything in the media that was racist towards her, but then I don't belong to Twitter. At first I was, like many others so pleased that Harry had found such a beautiful seemingly lovely lady to marry him. I find it very hard to believe that her in laws committed domestic violence towards her, surely not the Queen? Sadly they could have done so much good in this scary world we now live in, and been immensely popular, disappointment does begin to describe it particularly for all the suffering people of the world that they could have made a difference to. Once they've exhausted their tales of the evil royal family, how will they earn a living? Harry being rather dim has no scholastic or any other skills so he clearly couldn't get a job doing anything!!, Meghan has limited ability to earn a millionaires standard of living so financially.??!! I don't have Netflix and have no desire to see or hear anything from these two. Not to visit your elderly, frail, dying grandmother when she specifically requested you to, is for me the crossed red line. How could anyone be so hurtful, so cruel is beyond me. Seeing the sadness on the Kings face is upsetting too.

He and Meghan have used their voices. They haven’t been silenced.

When you go public you have to accept that the public will have an opinion on what it sees.

It's a shame that people are judging without actually watching the programme. I have just watched the first 3 episodes and there is nothing which could be conceived as a criticism of the royal family.
It is Harry's story about falling in love with an intelligent ,beautiful American actress who also campaigns for women's rights.
Harry has always had his story told whether he wanted it or not. Throughout his childhood the cameras were there at every new day at school,family holidays ,church gatherings. Then intruding into his grieving for his mother by photographing him behind the coffin and then whilst he was at Eton. Girlfriends,falling out of nightclubs all his early adulthood scrutinised. Not so much on his 2 tours in Afghanistan or his work with Invictus games or in Africa. Probably no controversial news there so wouldn't sell papers.
As his life has been played out in the media without his consent why should he not tell his own story and have a voice ?

I'm late to the party having just got in so will watch it later. The curtsey conversation on here intrigued me so I took a quick look at the exaggerated story. It did occur to me that of course Meghan would know how to curtsey .. her father sent her to dancing lessons, her mother was a yoga teacher (there is a curtsey lunge), and even Harry knows all about leg positions in ballet!

Can somebody do a precis - as I just can't summon the patience to watch, still I'd like to know the gist of it.

Well, if you watched the programme, you'd know why. It's a simple explanation which makes sense.

The bits I’ve seen on the news are cringing, they are not spontaneous, how many takes for everything and in front of a film crew. How can anyone be taken in by them? They drone on about privacy proceed then with their tell all books, shows etc. talking about their favourite subject, them, and the victims they are. If they want to see victims, look around. It’s sickening.

In all fairness how hard is it to curtsy? It’s just a bending of both knees. Just a slight dip. I have never had to curtsy but I know how to if I had to. Plenty have curtsied to Meghan since the Queen made her a Duchess,

Harry talks about "unconscious bias" in the RF which is hard for individuals to defend because he says it's "unconscious".

However, I have always thought that Harry is the most racist member of the RF with his racist derogatory comments about his Army colleagues, calling one of them (I quote) "My little Pk friend" and other unpleasant slurs. He says he is ashamed about dressing up as a Nazi, but what about the things he has said?

They preach compassion and kindness but have certainly not practised it towards either of their families.

Like others have said, I was so pleased for Harry that he had met someone to make him happy ... and I thought that as she was an actress, she wouldn't run away from the limelight like his other girlfriends had done. I was astonished at her confidence in insisting on walking up most of the aisle on her own at the wedding, but thought she and H made a lovely couple. Now I can't stand them.

No need to watch Netflix - photos and film clips and comments from the docuseries are being flogged to death on the News programmes.

I’ve just been sent a clip of her demonstrating how she obsequiously bent double, arms outstretched when meeting the late Queen. She was taking the p* and Harry looked uncomfortable. All she has and the stage to spout her rubbish is all down to marrying into that lady’s family. She’s awful and he’s pathetic,

Surely something like that, Harry could have either;

a) Shown her how to do it himself before her meeting with the Queen (I know men don’t curtsey, but I bet he knows how it should be done) or

b) Arranged for a member of staff to demonstrate, must be plenty of them who would have been keen to oblige.

But then Harry seems to have been very remiss in appraising Meghan of many aspects of her future royal life. Too worried it might scare her off.

I don’t think it would have though. She had her sights set on her idea of a future royal life, and all this has stemmed from it not panning out quite how she anticipated.
