Just watched this, here in oz. Loved it. Agree, cant understand Mel C's involvement, but rest was beautiful. Loved the choirboys.

Alfie Boe is a trained opera singer and should not have been paired with Mel C. Pop singers are a completely different breed. Another opera singer should have been paired with him or his microphone taken away!

Think he always tries to drown out anyone he sings with.

I agree rubysong - Alfie Boe completely drowned her out. I had to look at her mouth to see if she was actually singing.

I thought Mel C sang her verse nicely but Alfie Boe drowned her out when they sang together. They must have had sound engineers who could have balanced it better.

I enjoyed it but could have done without Alfie Boe and Mel C.

Which is why I didn’t watch it, though I’d probably have enjoyed much of it.

We loved it. An excellent beginning to Christmas.

I also loved it and amazingly not a tear in my eye!

Beautiful service and me too, I got the hankie out first when the piano was played with those beautiful pictures on top and then again when the ukranian children sang. I too loved the treorchy choir. It has made my christmas

I thought it was lovely and very moving. Cried when the Ukrainian children sang.

I enjoyed it far more than Carols From King’s, not that I watched it this year.

It encompassed different things, lovely carols, readings, dedicated to the late Queen.

Charlotte was singing ‘Away In A Manger’ with huge enjoyment.

Best thing on tv last night, not that there was much competition!

Thought this service was absolutely lovely. The Ukranian children's choir was a real tear jerker, the piano with the images of the late Queen was amazing as was the piano player. Loved the male choir from Wales. Hugh Boniface reading about Paddington, another tear jerker. Afterwards, a quick flip to catch the end of Kings College. A very satisfactory start to Christmas.
