Scotlands Sacred Islands with Ben Fogle

I’m distracted from the scenery by the sight of Ben Fogle permanently wearing shorts regardless of the temperature! What is it with blokes who have to show their knees whatever the weather?

it was Ben Fogle who did that first castaway experiment wasn't it on a remote Scottish island? I remember being agog at all the goings on!

I visited Iona with a student group 60 years ago and loved it. Thanks for telling me about the programme which I will be sure to catch on i-Player. When we were there, we were taken on a walk around the island by Rev. George McLeod, the founder of the Iona Community which was a truly inspiring experience. I have since become a humanist, but this doesn't mean I would reject the 'spiritual' atmosphere which I also find
in Wordsworth's 'Tintern Abbey' poem.

The series is very moving and beautiful. I saw it for the first time last week. It is on now and again is spiritual with outstanding scenery that holds memory of all that has gone before

I’ve watched this previously and would highly recommend watching the whole series. I found the final episode in Shetland quite profound, dealing with individual faith, exercised quite remotely.

I only caught the last half hour of this lovely programme Oldbat1 the scenery was beautiful and what a gorgeous place to escape the stresses of life for a while.
I am watching Bargain Hunt at well and hate it, it's on 365 days a year, things I do for my husband
