he is now blaming the press for saying he killed 25 taliban when we heard it coming out of his own mouth.

I have just seen this in the news.

PH said that the number of kills was in his book, but it was not boasting and that taking one paragraph and publishing it out of context is what the press has been doing for years.

(I have read the translation of the relevant chapter, and it doesn’t appear that he was boasting, just trying to get the fact that he had taken human lives into some sort of context)

In my opinion by revealing this in his book I do think he has sacrificed his and his family’s safety.

I wonder where they will be in a year's time when the dust has settled and there is nothing left to say.

Hence they want a reaction from the RF to provide more grist to the mill !

My daughter was offered a burial for her miscarriage at 13 weeks. It probably depends on the hospital. I was there and it wasn't like a funeral - just a minister, a little white box, and a corner of a churchyard with a wall with some moving words engraved on a plaque for all the babies buried there.

In my opinion by revealing this in his book I do think he has sacrificed his and his family’s safety.

He now says it was "healing for him" - with clearly no thought for anyone else for whom it will be triggering and totally wrong. Personally I think he is backtracking over this particular comment because it did not receive the reaction he'd anticipated.

In fact, I notice he has backtracked over a few things - plus he has got many of his "truths" wrong - one being that his clear memory of being phoned at Eton to be told that the Queen Mother had died did not happen - he was on holiday skiing with Charles and William.

^No wonder Chelsy and Cressida called it a day^.

Sensible young women.

However, all this may not have happened had he gone to live in Africa with Chelsy.

I quite agree re Chelsy and life in Africa. I recall we’ve talked about it before smile

It wouldn’t surprise me if Meghan is desperate to get out now.

I read Reddit quite a bit.
Going by the American posters on there, Harry has lost all the popularity that he previously enjoyed.
I’m reading time and time again
‘I used to really like Harry, but…’
In fact, I haven’t read one positive comment on the book from posters in the US.
He’s fooled no one.

It's all so melodramatic isn't it. Using his bare hands to dig in the earth and when recounting then 'phone call he can't have received about the death of the Queen's mother "the weather bright and warm, light slanting through my window, filled with vivid colour"hmm.

Mollygo Wed 11-Jan-23 09:13:03

But that could be the next tragedy. If Meghan wants out, what about custody of the children?
With a father with MH problems who wants no part of the RF firm, and has moved abroad, away from the family who he thinks has harmed him, or with a mother whose 3 claims to fame are acting, marrying the ‘ Spare’ and giving interviews about how she feels she has been treated.

I did see on another post where someone queried the fact that it may be impossible to dig with your hands under a Banyan tree due to it's root structure... I did google a pic of "the root structure of a banyan tree" and it was very complex.

Now I don't know if it would be possible to use your hands to dig under a Banyan tree either? confused

Apart from anything else would a hospital give someone a foetus to carry away? I’ll be frank I don’t believe much of what he says and watched Tom Bower being interviewed last night and he was extremely scathing. He says a lot of the book has been written by Meghan and he said some things that I won’t repeat on here but he said them on national tv and made it clear that legally he wasn’t worried. He only stopped short when Doria’s missing years were mentioned when he said legally he couldn’t say where she was for over 10 years whilst Meghan lived with her Dad. Pretty damning stuff about Harry.

volver Wed 11-Jan-23 09:40:55

Oh not this again.

Doria hasn't been in prison, whatever the sainted Tom Bower implies.

That alone is enough to make him an unreliable source with inbuilt bias.

Sparklefizz Wed 11-Jan-23 09:41:34

tickingbird Where can I find the Tom Bower interview please?

Sparklefizz Wed 11-Jan-23 09:42:29

volver Where was she then? Curious. Please give source.

FannyCornforth Wed 11-Jan-23 09:42:56

Where was Tom Bower interviewed? I liked his book about Johnson

volver Wed 11-Jan-23 09:44:00

She was in LA I believe, being a yoga teacher and an air stewardess or something.

If you are seriously hinting that she was in prison, best get yourself a good lawyer....🤣

Sparklefizz Wed 11-Jan-23 09:44:59

volver I am not "hinting" anything - don't deliberately misinterpret - I just said I was curious.

volver Wed 11-Jan-23 09:45:24

Google's first answer. Made up, I suppose.

FannyCornforth Wed 11-Jan-23 09:46:33

The rumour is that she went to jail for tax evasion involving a travel agency she was running

tickingbird Wed 11-Jan-23 09:50:17

I don’t know where you can find it. I sat and watched it and if you read my comment you’ll note he didn’t say where she was. I would like to say what he did say but I’ll probably get reported even though I’d be repeating what was said on national tv.

volver. “Inbuilt bias”. Like yours you mean? Difference is Tom Bower is a respected author and previously an investigative journalist for the BBC. I’d much rather listen to his facts than Harry and Meghan’s lies.

tickingbird Wed 11-Jan-23 09:52:54

Oh volver!! Google again. One can find all sorts on Google and much of it untrue. Tom Bower’s far too smart to say libellous stuff on tv. I’d love to repeat what he did say!

volver Wed 11-Jan-23 09:56:08

Libellous. Yes indeed.

Which means if he had said it he would have known it wasn't true.

Oh dear...

tickingbird Wed 11-Jan-23 10:02:40

No volver. Oh dear to you dear! Libel laws are very complicated and it’s not as simple as truth. What he did say was bad enough so by your reasoning that must be true and it involved illegal activity!

volver Wed 11-Jan-23 10:06:39

Oh go on! If its true you can't be done for libel or anything else! Tell us! Tell us! What has the unimpeachable Bower come up with now!?!

Daddima Wed 11-Jan-23 10:08:08

FannyCornforth

The rumour is that she went to jail for tax evasion involving a travel agency she was running

And I think the nearest ‘proof’ anyone could come up with was that her landlord once applied for a court order to evict her. It didn’t give a reason for her eviction.

Now Harry is blaming the media for printing excerpts out of context to make him look bad.Considering the criticism of the media in their interviews, and now the book, is he really so naive to have believed he would get a fair reporting? From what I’ve seen, all his ‘bombshells’ have been vague and thinly veiled accusations, and it’s the press who have reported them dramatically. I’m sure many people who are enraged at them are basing their rage on headlines and internet posts!
‘Harry attacks Camilla’
‘ Trashing the Royal Family’
‘ Harry slams ‘uncaring’ Kate’
etc etc

FannyCornforth Wed 11-Jan-23 10:08:26

🙋‍♀️ Please Miss! Where was the Bower interview?

volver Wed 11-Jan-23 10:18:54

GB News Fanny With Dan Wooton.

Must be true. They wouldn't make things up.

FannyCornforth Wed 11-Jan-23 10:23:21

Thank you.
Oh dear, I can’t stand Dan Wooton
