That's the other thing I get told off about. Correcting people's spelling. Obviously it's just a problem when I do it, not when anyone from the chosen few does it.

Its always obvious to me what you mean.

Who are these people? 🤔

Germanshepherdsmum Mon 09-Jan-23 11:41:11

Well if you have read any comments on H’s allegations which the RF may have made to the press perhaps you would enlighten us WellsRose. So far as I’m aware the RF have maintained a dignified silence. I assume you refer to Charles’s interview and book decades ago, and maybe his comments on environmental issues.

I’m sorry to hear of your disability but may I respectfully suggest that previewing your posts will enable you to spot errors which, in some cases, mean that others don’t understand and can’t work out what you mean - e.g. ‘Coat’ when you meant Rose West.

Well done volver. I wasn’t alone in not having a clue who ‘Coat’ was.

WellsRose

The family did nothing. That's the mother of the Kings Grandchildren and he did nothing.

How do you know that WellsRose?

Your posts are so full of certainty that I wonder if you have a contact at the Palace? A mole?

Because there been no public statement or is there one you know of?

Ah, I understand now.

Does there have to be a public statement?
We're always hearing that so much does go on that we are unaware of.
JC may well be perfectly aware of the disapproval of the Palace but he's not going to tell the world about it, is he.

When we hear too much, that's wrong, tmi, and when we hear nothing then it's assumed nothing has happened.

Harry is a very troubled soul and my heart goes out to him. I think his family should say and do something helpful, instead of ignoring him.

Germanshepherdsmum Mon 09-Jan-23 11:46:26

So in the absence of a public statement you know Charles did nothing?

volver Mon 09-Jan-23 11:48:03

Next time there's an incomprehensible post slagging off an unpopular public person, from someone who appears to have a disability, I will have a go at them, pretending all the while that I'm concerned for them.

Seems its de rigeur now.

I have a problem with autocorrect too WellsRose and yes, I should check before posting (NY resolution) but yours seems worse than mine, it has a list of unknown people to call on!

His father hasn't always kept a dignified silence . We also don't know if they leak to the press.

What exactly is being leaked? The stories are all coming from Harry. He moaned that since he left ‘his’ country for safety and to get away from the press it’s carried on. What he means is he and his wife have carried on. If they stopped giving interviews airing past grievances and hurling accusations at his family the press would have nothing to write about. If they just did their charitable work etc and didn’t keep trashing the RF it would stop. There’d be nothing to say.

It’s noticeable that all their supporters are republicans and anti monarchists. No wonder I keep reading about others pulling the strings.

slagging off an unpopular public person

Nice choice of words Volver.

And as I've explained I do look at my previews but my mind doesn't pick on mistakes due to dyslexia. But I suspect you fully understood the first time but are enjoying the boot in.

volver Mon 09-Jan-23 11:56:27

No capital in volver.

Pointless proofreading seems to be the order of the day.

I can tell the difference between an autocorrect and when someone has difficulty with words.

Autocorrect can be amusing sometimes, as were WellsRose's obvious autocorrects and I would not pick up someone who has dyslexia or other problems.

Thanks anyway, WellsRose, I did wonder if they were two other lovers the Press had failed to investigate!
💔💔

Calliste see my post response to GermanShephers mum

Germanshepherdsmum Mon 09-Jan-23 12:02:36

Your suspicions are incorrect and unjust WR. And I have not stuck the boot in, as you say. I would however suggest that the speed with which your comments are posted is such that you don’t preview most of the time so we are left genuinely unable in some cases to understand your meaning.

WellsRose Mon 09-Jan-23 12:02:53

Germanshepherdsmum

It doesn’t have to be incomprehensible volver, with auto correct, preview and taking time rather than dashing posts off at great speed and pressing’ ‘send’. We have several dyslexic posters on GN. If you knew WR had a disability before she mentioned it, your insight is far greater than mine. Spelling mistakes we can usually work out, but not some of the names such as those just mentioned by Callistemon.

I've now reported you. I have said three times that I have dyslexia and it's not for you to decide whether whether I can manage it.

GrannyZoom Mon 09-Jan-23 12:07:42

Turned it off. Such a shame it's come to this.
I have no time for him or Meghan.

Germanshepherdsmum Mon 09-Jan-23 12:09:31

That’s unfair, WellsRose. Once you explained that you have dyslexia I expressed sympathy and suggested such help as I could with posts, so that when it comes to names, which is where what you meant hasn’t been understood, we all know who you mean. I would never mock someone with dyslexia or any other disability.

Smileless2012 Mon 09-Jan-23 12:10:16

Didn't watch it but have read the comments from those who did.

So his family isn't racist and the question regarding Archie's skin colour wasn't racist, and yet the allegations in social media that the RF and the institution of the Monarchy is racist has been allowed to go and on, since the Oprah interviewhmm.

25Avalon Mon 09-Jan-23 12:13:17

WellsRose can we calm down. I see no point in reporting Germanshepherdsmum as I can’t see that she has said anything wrong. The thing with dyslexia is it can take many forms and no two people will be exactly the same. It is unfortunate if your post has the wrong spelling or the wrong word - this happens to me a lot and I’m not dyslexic. My daughter is slightly dyslexic and I used to proof read important papers for her but somehow she seems to have overcome it but idk how. It is no shame to be dyslexic..

Not racist Smileless but unconscious bias.

Only saw snippets on the news, no intention of watching it or reading the ‘book’. Harry is thought to be still suffering from severe PTSD, this can be the only explanation for his vile attack on his family and the monarchy. He will live to regret his actions and this can only worsen his state of mind. Very sad. I do think that his actions are fuelled by Meghan who doesn’t understand about Royal life.
