How much is Tom Brady getting paid for all this rubbish coming out of Harry’s mouth?

The most blatant lie coming from H&M was on the Oprah interview when they allowed her to gasp and comment on the colour of the baby to be and to shake her head over such a racist remark.
Now H has rowed back on that and said there is no racism in the RF.
People aren’t stupid and will now doubt the truth of anything they both say.

I haven't watched the Oprah thing and I haven't watched last night's interview either.

So Meghan told Oprah what had been said and Oprah may or may not have used the word racist (I haven't watched it, after all...)

Can you affix the clip where Meghan or Harry said the RF were racist? Actual Meghan? Or actual Harry? Not Oprah, or some reporter who decided to ask William if he was racist.

Can you? (No, is the answer...)

What Meghan said was "There was some concern about how dark the baby's skin would be" and she nodded agreement when Oprah picked that up and ran with it.

Been known to do that myself, nasty, rude old pedant that I am.

GN is good for baring one’s soul volver - you obviously find it therapeutic smile

Just watching lunchtime news on BBC. H’s allegation that Camilla had become close to the press as part of her change of image, and that this had led to stories being planted, was discussed. It was pointed out that H’s claim that she had briefed the press about her first meeting with William was untrue - her private secretary had mentioned it to someone, who then told someone else, and the PS was so mortified that he was the source that he resigned. Slurs against Camilla will not endear him to Charles.

They accepted a Kennedy award last month for highlighting racism within the Royal Family.

Yet he denied on film in front of Tom Bradby last night that the RF were racist.

How do you square that one volver

Elegran Mon 09-Jan-23 13:41:44

"Concern" implies racism on the part of the person "concerned". That is not what Harry is saying in his latest interview, and it is not what the average family member means when they wonder whether a baby will be tall like his father and inherit his mother's curls.

The reference to his skin has been attributed to Princess Anne, a very sensible and inteeligent woman, who doesn't seem to me to be likely to be "concerned" about the exact shade of the skin of a baby in the family.

Quite a conundrum, tickingbird.

I wouldn't underestimate Tom Bradby. Didn't he uncover some News of The World journalist who was investigated and prosecuted for hacking Prince William's phone calls?
He is an accomplished interviewer and presenter, yet even he looked uncomfortable in the programme aired last night. I squirmed at Harry's inappropriate remark, presumably joking, as to where Tom had lost his virginity.

Nooooooo! On Sky just now they said Harry was doing another interview this afternoon before the book comes out.

Joseanne Mon 09-Jan-23 13:50:24

They accepted a Kennedy award last month for highlighting racism within the Royal Family.
Yes, I wondered how that works.

In the same pretty cottage? He must have rented it for a month or so. How many bathrooms does it have? grin

Yes, nice one tbird.
They were absolutely delighted with that award

Germanshepherdsmum Mon 09-Jan-23 14:16:09

Perhaps they should return it now?

Caleo Mon 09-Jan-23 14:24:55

Harry is right about the gutter press. I'd also be surprised if the
Palace did not employ a very efficient public relations department, in which case it will tell all media outlets what to say, and what pictures for public view. Of course, the press is self- serving and won't conform unless it can make money from the PR outlet.

Obviously the Palace's interest is in conserving the monarchy.

I do hope Prince Harry will get his way and the Palace will see a way to congratulate him on what he has accomplished so far in his life. He is obviously a nice young man. His charitable works alone deserve help from the Palace.

25Avalon Mon 09-Jan-23 14:29:48

They fled the country fearing for their lives. Really? Well you’ve jeopardised everything now Harry with your comments on what happened on duty in Afghanistan. Salmon Rushdie wasn’t safe in America years and years after his book.

OnwardandUpward Mon 09-Jan-23 14:30:30

Really? So much so that they have put themselves in more danger???

Germanshepherdsmum Mon 09-Jan-23 14:32:50

And look what happened to Rushdie not long ago. These people don’t mind playing the long game.

OnwardandUpward Mon 09-Jan-23 14:34:51

Yes, that's true .

I think H would have been much wiser to have played the long game with the RF.

Perhaps they should return it now?

Indeed.

If claims about racism are shown the way it seems now.

Germanshepherdsmum Mon 09-Jan-23 14:43:18

‘Subconscious bias’ is fine it seems, yet it cost Lady Susan Hussey her job.

Germanshepherdsmum Mon 09-Jan-23 14:44:07

Or is it ‘unconscious bias’? One or t’other.

Lovetopaint037 Mon 09-Jan-23 14:49:05

It was Camilla who came off badly. It looked as if she was the rehabilitated one he kept referring to.

How do I square it?

By pointing out that they didn't get a Kennedy Award (which is something very specific) and that they didn't get anything at all for "highlighting racism in the Royal Family"

Check your sources. Not sure they are spot on with this one.

You know I try to leave it open for people to admit when they've got things wrong, but I'm fed up of that. Nowhere in any citation for the Ripple of Hope award has "racism in the royal family " been mentioned. So you're just reading stuff into the award that isn't there because it suits your agenda. Then you use what you've imagined out of nowhere to try to pretend they are telling lies. Its pathetic really. But I think you actually believe it.
