DP used to have a Bob Dylan CD with Mr Tambourine man on which us why I know that song, it’s really catchy and now it’s my ear worm for the day.

I thought the word charming was a very mild response from ‘Oreo’ . I agree that not everyone has the same taste in music.

Oreo - quite agree. I’m 64 and had to look behind the headline and still couldn’t be sure of any of his music. I do wonder why some posters have to come across or maybe be so arrogant.

Took me a while and reading later posts to realise who he was Oreo. I remember Crosby Stills and Nash very well but his Christian name didn’t ring bells with me.

I suppose it's inevitable as we age more and more musicians of our youth are not going to be around. I liked the music of Crosby Stills and Nash and before that The Byrds, well I think I did from what I can remember, I liked most '60s groups.

I think Stephen Stills and Graham Nash are still around.

Do you remember this song or are you too young?

I was 11 years old, and loved it at the time and since.

I am calling you out for an unwarranted unpleasant post OxfordGran we’re not all interested in the same music and we aren’t all the same ages either.

Grandmabatty Fri 20-Jan-23 14:51:30

It's very sad that a part of the music scene from the 60s onwards has gone. I loved The Byrds and CSNY. Deja vu is one of my favourite albums. He had his demons but was feisty and lovely to the end. Gone and never forgotten.

Oreo, what does your comment even mean? charming? you put yourself in a position of declared ignorance, do not be calling me out for your own lack of musical history/resonance, Byrds, CSNY, where have you been?

Makes me sad - all that time just went.

OxfordGran Fri 20-Jan-23 14:42:51

I remember this group, how be brought Joni to SanFran (who then went off with Graham Nash) who wrote Our House for them, his troubled relationships with other band members, musicians, his stoicism, a wonderful era, with Judi Collins, Neil Young, Leonard Cohen, Dylan, Carole King, on and on, magic

Good Lord Oreo, isn’t this “revelling in your own ignorance” as in, better to keep silent and…

RIP - Surprised he made it to 81, when you see the life he led.

I also loved his music. Soundtrack of my youth. He had a good innings. RIP.
