Anyone heard tonight’s episode? If not and you are a long time listener I advise you to listen on catch-up. No spoilers

Wyllow3

I don't think Peggy will "go" if Jenny AND Brian do, too much at once.

The scriptwriters have yet to decide what to do about Robert Snell as well. 🤔

I think the Bridge Farm lot will have plenty to say if Adam and Ian try and open a posh farm cafe/shop.

Taking Adam away from Home Farm was always a daft storyline. He was the heir apparent and Brian can’t go on forever. I think Stella will mess up and Brian will flounder without Jenny’s support. He’ll be outnumbered as a shareholder so cue the cavalry!

Franb Jennifer is mother of Adam, father Paddy Redmond, Debbie father Roger Travers Macy (will she return from Hungary for funeral?) Kate and Alice with Brian and step mother of Ruari (from affair with Siobhan)
Lots of interesting relationships and developments can be envisaged😀

Apokogies, yes I confused Peggy and Jennifer (she of the posh kitchen_. Although I do listed regularly, I am not absolutely certain as to family relationships. So, Jennifer is the Mother of Adam, and Alice and step-mother to Rauri - am I correct?

Will this effect Alice's recovery? Will Brian now retire? When will Peggy do the decent thing - and die?

It felt very sad, end of era and all, but not so much if she had been actively part of plots. But not Brian going too? I'm sad Shula won't be back despite her continuing annoying-ness.

"Chris and Alice going to see Ruari in London; that will put the cat amongs the pigeons!"

yes, could be interesting, caught in flagrante etc, or OTOH his chance to end it with good excuse.

lixy Tue 24-Jan-23 06:01:37

Yes, Brian and Shula are married in real life.

Adam and Ian's farm cafe would definitely be worth a visit, though I suspect it would be well out of my price range!

Always the unexpected with The Archers!

vegansrock Tue 24-Jan-23 05:47:23

Is Bryan leaving as well? Isn’t the actor married to the Shula actor IRL?

eGJ Mon 23-Jan-23 21:12:53

Adam ( the actor that is) visited Daylesford Organics Farm Shop last week, so maybe he and Ian are going to set up a shop/ restaurant

merlotgran Mon 23-Jan-23 20:59:13

I think Brian will throw in the towel, Adam will take over as senior partner and Stella will decide to leave.

Farzanah Mon 23-Jan-23 20:47:05

Do you think? 🤔

merlotgran Mon 23-Jan-23 20:03:49

That seed drills as good as ordered then. 🤔

eGJ Mon 23-Jan-23 19:20:39

SOME of the younger ones are growing on me, but Ruari isn’t one of them!

Farzanah Mon 23-Jan-23 19:19:30

The characters that I’ve grown old with (off and on) are all disappearing!

eGJ Mon 23-Jan-23 19:15:57

Chris and Alice going to see Ruari in London; that will put the cat amongs the pigeons!

Davida1968 Mon 23-Jan-23 17:17:15

Poor Ruari has now lost two mothers....
I think this be devastating for Peggy. (Not that we'll hear from her directly, June Spencer having retired from the role.) Adam too.

eGJ Mon 23-Jan-23 17:09:35

Forward!

eGJ Mon 23-Jan-23 17:06:31

I think we’ve all caught up merlot as we’ve had the lunchtime repeat! I’m looking for your views and suggestions as to how it will play out!

merlotgran Mon 23-Jan-23 16:59:20

I think the actress who plays her is ill in real life.

When is it alright to use names?

NotSpaghetti Mon 23-Jan-23 16:45:49

Shuja has apparently retired!
Falling like ninepins!

Farzanah Mon 23-Jan-23 16:39:23

Gosh that was sudden. Got a heads up on here so listened today. There wasn’t really a lead in to this story. I wonder why the actress has left, they usually say something after the event. Nothing on internet today. I was thinking it would be Jill.

eGJ Mon 23-Jan-23 16:27:47

Graham Brockley who was Robert Snell ( and was a practicing G P) died in November. Now there’s a put upon husband who stood by her in her time of need!
When Shula had her last episode it made me laugh when Brian ( Charles Collingwood) said to her “I hope you keep in touch”

NotSpaghetti Mon 23-Jan-23 16:01:59

I thought I'd read yesterday that Charles Collingwood had no intention of retiring....
Could be wrong.

V3ra Mon 23-Jan-23 11:48:02

Well. I normally listen to the omnibus on a Sunday morning but I've just listened to last night's episode on BBC Sounds.
Wasn't expecting that ☹️

shysal Mon 23-Jan-23 11:35:07

The character hasn't 'appeared' in person for weeks so I had guessed she was going to leave. I had heard that Brian's actor was leaving so maybe it will be over to the younger generation in the future.

MawtheMerrier Mon 23-Jan-23 11:30:40

Delila

I think you’ve got the wrong character Franbern!

👍👍👍
I might restart my statins…..
