Anyone watching this? I saw a foreign version of it several years ago, but this is Australian and is turning out to be a very good drama - well acted and scripted. Not sure how many episodes but I'm on episode 3 and really enjoying it.

Thanks for the reminder. I'll be watching

Chestnut Sat 18-Feb-23 10:34:09

Yes, thanks. I had lost it at the back of my mind but will now make a point of watching it. There's another one too, but I've lost that one as well!

I'n now on episode 6 of The Twelve and very pleased to see that there are more episodes to come. Loving it.

I'll watch anything with Sam Neill in. Just got one more episode of Atlantic Crossing to watch tonight and then I'll start on this tomorrow. There seems to be a few things on at the moment. Just finished The Gold and have The Catch to watch too.

I’ll give it a go but the online reviews aren’t good. Gransnet recommendations I find are normally spot on.

Started watching it but thought the script was very poor. There was some dodgy acting as well.
Shame, as Sam Neil is so good.

Where is ITVX is it a paid for channel? I can’t see it on freeview?

FannyCornforth Sun 19-Feb-23 12:36:21

It’s a streaming service BlueBelle, the new name for ITV hub.
I’m not sure if you will be able to access it.
I’ve had a look, but I think that you might need a fire stick or similar (I really recommend a fire stick by the way - especially if on offer at around £25)

I don't know what ITV are doing but it seems the ITV app doesn't seem to work any more, so you have to use ITVX. I can't get it on my normal BT Vision box like all the others (iPlayer etc.) but I can get it through my Amazon Fire Stick. Not sure if a smart TV will get it but I don't have one.

I don't think The Twelve Has been shown on TV, so I'm not sure why ITV are streaming things they haven't shown on TV. Is this something new?

I also can't see the point of showing a weekly series on TV whilst streaming all the episodes straight away. I would just go and watch them online rather than wait several weeks to see them all. They didn't do that with Happy Valley but I guess on the whole they're scared people will lose interest and stop watching if it's shown weekly.

I can get ITVx on my smart TV, no problem.

Oldbat1 Sun 19-Feb-23 17:39:54

We have itvx but without the ads. We hate adverts.

BlueBelle Sun 19-Feb-23 17:45:09

Where do you find it sparklefizz what number is it on ?
I went through the channels today but didn’t see it might have missed it though there seems a lot of new channels I hadn’t seen before

I am halfway through The Twelve, and its brilliant, keeps you guessing. My other favourite is 5 Bedrooms, waiting for the next series to be shown. It is so touching and sad and funny, brilliant script and acting. You have to give it 2 or 3 episodes to get into the characters, but its worth it, very entertaining.

I also have a Smart TV and no joy- I am like BlueBelle I searched the channels but no joy. It is not on Freeview.

BlueBelle Sun 19-Feb-23 18:03:35

Annoying isn’t it charleygirl My Smart Tv is only a couple of years old so not at all sure why we can’t find it
Any help appreciated

Chestnut
There are many many programs on ITV x, i player, all 4, my 5 that aren’t shown on terrestrial tv. These are stand alone companies.

MerylStreep Sun 19-Feb-23 18:26:09

This might help.

Also, do you still have itv hub showing. When you select this there should have been an update option.
If you read the article the important part is to make sure your smart tv is on automatic update.

Yaaaaay - got it! If you have a Smart TV , just press the white Play (with a squiggle) button, on your Remote Control and ITVX will pop up - I hope I explained it properly

crazyH Sun 19-Feb-23 18:32:58

Just under the Netflix button

Sparklefizz Sun 19-Feb-23 18:40:07

Bluebelle Is there a red house/home symbol button on your remote? I press that and I get all the names of the streaming channels on the screen, then I can just move the cursor along to ITVX.

BlueBelle Sun 19-Feb-23 18:45:02

Which one do you mean

marshmarigold132 Sun 19-Feb-23 18:45:07

Put the app for ITVX on your tablet, find programme and play then scan to tv.
