Anyone else watched first episode.

I was disappointed, expected it to be much better. Just seems to be following usual formula for a Soap. Also, the very darkness of some of these scenes made those impossible to know what was happening.

Will probably watch next episode to see if it improves.

Have just watched the final overwrought episode.

They threw everything at it. Resident perishing (blown up) in his hut, maudlin funeral eulogies, fights, riots, arrests, premature birth involving life saving dash to hospital, attempted suicide, sea rescue, child kidnap.

All in one final hour of drama.

No doubt paving the way for series two.

I did in the end, but it left it open for another series.

So much drama amongst that group, I'm surprised most of them didn't get deported back to Blighty.

Oh, in my summary of events, I forgot proposal (and acceptance) of marriage by two teenagers who hardly know each other, and said fiancé offering to become stepdad to new born mixed race offspring, which would have been a huge controversial decision back then.
