I don't know how far they can show the reality of MND on a programme like Corrie. They will want to be respectful without shying away from how awful it is. Assisted dying gives them that get-out, and with Billy being an archdeacon there is that aspect to the story too. It's so sad, isn't it?

I think that Mary deserves a love interest, but whilst she and Brian would be well matched, I don't think I could bear stories featuring both of them . They are only bearable in small doses.

Agree with you all, The actor playing Paul deserves an award, must be a difficult part to play.
Also agree it was all much more enjoyable when all the characters were present.
Would love to see a romance develop between Brian and Mary.
Really don’t like the daft relationship between Aadi and ‘her with the face’. He and Amy would make a more believable and very sweet couple.
I think Aadi’s sister, can’t recall her name, is a good actress, her facial expressions are great. Oh yes it’s just come to me Asha.

I was out at a show last night so got some catching up to do but sounds like it was a better nights viewing

There was a problem with Amy after the rape (which is not mentioned now either). She stopped attending and if I remember correctly the university contacted her to say she had failed, or that she was likely to do so if she didn’t get her finger out. In reality though, they would be very understanding in the circumstances, although they will have wanted evidence or information that she may not have been willing to provide at that point. Did she press charges in the end?

If Summer is going to Manchester (or anywhere) it will be imminent now, so she’d be at least talking about it, you’re right. Maybe she will defer again because of Paul?

Has Amy given up on university now? It’s never talked about.

And surely Summer must soon be on her way. Yes, I know it’s no longer ‘Oxford’, but even if it’s just Manchester, after all her uni angst last year, you think it might be mentioned occasionally.

You really felt for them both.

It is very hard to watch. Paul’s acting is very good. I hope he gets an award.

The actor will of course be leaving when he 'dies'; I do hope he gets other roles, as he has been outstandingly good in his portrayal of decline with his awful disease. When he smashed the record he had bought for his friend tonight, I felt like crying.

It is a very painful story. Paul is acting it all so well.

I started writing a list of Corrie characters to see just how many there are now, but the blessed screen ‘disappeared’ and I can’t face typing them all in again.

Shocked how many there are now, and I know I missed many out.

Made me realise how little screen time some of them get now, Eileen, Brian, Gail to name a few.

Too much time spent on some of the ‘younger’ storylines maybe?
