Roll up, roll up!

The old one is full, so post your Corrie thoughts and observations here.

Walking in with that pink fluffy little girl's notebook....not the best start. grin

Calendargirl Wed 16-Aug-23 07:08:02

Yes, Lauren is yet another mardy, unlikeable teenager, who will no doubt turn into a much loved street character. 😂

Does it not seem odd that Stephen could miraculously remember precisely what was going on one random day the end of February, 6 long months ago? And why on earth did Peter feel the need to blab to him about the missing watch? I would have politely told him to not eavesdrop private conversations, and mind his own business.

I hope HR at Gemma’s new work place tactfully suggest she gets her hair trimmed. Those awful split ends need a bit of attention if she is going to be a PA ( hollow laughter).

vegansrock Wed 16-Aug-23 06:48:46

Lauren is almost the same character as the girl who was fostered by Maria and Gary ( Kelly?) blonde, teenage, troubled relationship with parents, homeless etc. although she’s not as likeable as Kelly.

That’s right I forgot Craig and Fay had a flat together. I was relieved for Roy’s sake when Lauren left last night. I was concerned after misreading his good intentions she might attempt to wrongly accuse him and blackmail him.

BlueBelle Tue 15-Aug-23 16:37:41

Do you mean our CraigEEE I guess he’s still in the flat he was in with Fay
Poor Roy got his knickers well and truly twisted with young ‘what her name’ last night

Grannynannywanny Tue 15-Aug-23 16:12:46

I refuse to believe that’s the end of the tie pin. I think there will be a shower of very heavy rain which will flood the drainage system. The tie pin will then be washed up into the u bend of Super Cop Craig’s sink. He will open the u bend to clear a blockage and instantly recognise the tie pin.

Now that I’ve tried to picture that scene, where does our Craig live? Is he still at home with Beth?

Doodledog Mon 14-Aug-23 21:02:48

So the tie pin has been retrieved and disposed of, that man has more jam than Hartleys.

He does, and his close shaves are getting tedious. His affected stammer when he's 'nervous' is making me murderous, never mind him. I, I, I, I just want him caught already.

LauraNorderr Mon 14-Aug-23 20:59:26

Love the poem 😂

Carla’s coming back to manage the factory, yey!

Aveline Mon 14-Aug-23 15:00:42

That lovely poem was Des Barnes's effort. Poor Derek was devastated that his poetic effort didn't win.

Doodledog Mon 14-Aug-23 09:42:38

We'll soon forget. I hope that Ruby gets some better storylines now that there's a new/better actress in the role. Hope has had all the juicy ones so far. Ruby had a rough start in life too (her mum was violent) but she wouldn't say boo to a goose.

BlueBelle Mon 14-Aug-23 09:34:25

Ruby changed overnight to nothing like her old self I know it’s a different child but wouldn’t they look for one similar not COMPLETELY different I m surprised she wasn’t white it was that noticeable 😂😂😂

Doodledog Mon 14-Aug-23 09:31:03

Oh, I love that grin

Aveline Mon 14-Aug-23 08:54:33

Remember the winning poem in the Newton and Riddley poetry competition?
'Newton and Ridley,
Gets you tiddley'
Why do I remember such daft things?confused

Doodledog Mon 14-Aug-23 08:44:03

Yes, if N&R own the pub, we'll need a representative to keep things in order grin.

Clawdy Mon 14-Aug-23 08:36:39

Henry's funny but sleazy dad was an interesting character, well-acted. Maybe he'll return and try to stop the ludicrous Henry-Gemma relationship!

Doodledog Sun 13-Aug-23 17:24:59

This whole storyline is ridiculous. I wish Yasmeen and the granddaughter would leave and be done with it. I don't mind Stu, although he hasn't had much of a chance to be interesting, and he can't really stand alone unless something happens to separate him from the dreadful Yasmeen.

Devorgilla Sun 13-Aug-23 16:07:03

Just wondering how long it will take Stu and Yasmeen to think of showing the mother a photo to confirm identity of 'father'. But I guess that would spoil the story line.

The storylines are getting more unrealistic everyday.
One of the worst is the quads.Thre was zero research into the one

Yes. I imagine they will have to keep getting new quads in as kids decide they don’t want to do it anymore.

Gemma and Chesney are not always working though-half the time in the pub, spending.

And Paul, who was broke, always seems to be able to afford a few pints also.

vegansrock Sat 12-Aug-23 04:16:04

Yes, where are the quads supposed to be when Gemma and Chesney are working? Are they in a 24 hour nursery? They sleep a lot, are very easy to put to bed, are very easy to look after - even Paul is apparently left in charge on occasions, whenever you do see them they are silently colouring .

fancythat Fri 11-Aug-23 21:19:24

I think the producers made a mistake in giving Gemma quads. It was a nice storyline at the beginning.
But stretches imagination to breaking point after that.

sodapop Fri 11-Aug-23 21:02:40

Can't imagine the job will last too long Calendargirl Gemma's talents don't run to being a PA.
