New Corrie Thread

I'd have liked Stephen to have escaped to Thailand, giving him a chance to return and cause further havoc in the future. Irritating though he is, it was good to have a villain to hate.

Agree that Sally seemed mildly concerned at best, like she was at work but wasn’t sure if she’d left the iron on.
David out shines most of the cast with his witty one liners.
Not sure what the big Christmas storyline will be? Probably nothing to do with current events - maybe Tyron’s ex coming back from abroad with his love child?

Not an explosive storyline but Christmas could be the reopening of the Rovers.

Where is Steve? He and Tim are usually joined at the hip and why isn't he worried about where the cab is? I would have thought Tracey would be nagging Steve about the loss of earnings by now and Eileen would be shouting about all the taxi jobs that have had to be cancelled.

I wonder if there will be another disaster befalling it? A fire, a tram landing on it, an explosion, aliens landing on the roof?

A new look meeting place might be more realistic than a local pub that is visited by all the residents, old and young, rich and poor at all hours of the day and night. If such places ever existed they must be very thin on the ground now. I'm not sure that we have such meeting places these days, which is a shame for communities, but they are godsends for scriptwriters needing a way to get people together who wouldn't ordinarily be together very often. There is already a cafe where people spend more time than seems likely, and a bistro where the same applies. The only customers in either are very local people who might venture a bit further away for a night out, instead of having their conversations and airing of dirty linen talking place amongst the neighbours.

I'd like to see the Rovers survive though, however improbable it might be.

Considering half of coronation st get knocked down on the cobbles by cars, buses or taxis it was unlucky for Peter that he died instantly and a shame I liked Peter I d have rather it been Craigy rushing there in his little cop car or Audrey and her cataracts
I wanted Stephen to see the fruits of his labour and see him have a bad time in prison that would have been fun
It really was an awful episode so unreal, so unlikely, and such a fizzle out

I don't know. At least we're spared a prolonged court case. Of course poor Peter won't be unless Audrey gets a grip!
Paul's illness will be back to front and centre of course.
Maybe there'll be a Christmas opening for the Rovers and it's all new staff?

Agree with Calendargirl about Paul's dying being the Christmas story.

Next week, though, we've got the Ryan and Daisy story rearing its ugly head. I really can't stand Ryan at the moment - he's repulsive, and I don't mean his scarred skin, I mean his addiction to steroids and his sex photos/videos. Bluuugh!

No. Peter thought that Stephen was going to kill Jenny (he had her by the throat) so ran him over in his taxi. The police are questioning him for murder.

Tim must be superman to survive after days confined in a car boot with no water or toilet facilities. (!) and be able immediately to get out and back in the car making phone calls, still he did get over his heart op in about 10 minutes. Lucky DC blonde lady happened to overhear Sally spilling the beans, hope we don’t have to go through another trial.

I thought it was good when Audrey said about Sarah's "accident", and Sarah corrected her.
