Britains Got Talent was enjoying until the final.

Am I alone in feeling disappointed and bewildered at the result. After all the hype we are left with the winner being a zany bloke waving high ,visibility jackets wildly in the air while skipping madly about the stage. The real talent was sidelined as other contestants were excluded at the end. It was down to the public vote so even more disappointing. So those Ghetto Kids, whose home could do so much with £250,000,that wonderful young boy who sang Pie Jesu and Puccini, that lovely Welsh Singer and the runner up a young talented dancer ,all bettered by an act which was amusing but that is all.

The comments on here have confirmed that I was better entertained waxing my legs/sticking pins in my eyes/removing my own appendix with a spoon than watching this puerile rubbish.

The thing is, we, older people don’t vote enough. If we did, the madcap would not have won. And that fat fool in his underpants would not be in the final. My vote was on the Ghetto kids.

I don't think the chap in the underpants was voted in by the public. The judges choose a 'wild card' each year. This year it was him and not one of the talented people who didn't get through. I think thats what happened anyway.

Myself and my two daughters were chatting on Whatsapp all the way through the final and were all disgusted at the result.
It was meant to be a talent show and there was so much talent on show especially from the youngsters.
How disappointing for them all that someone with no talent whatsoever won.
I voted for Lillianna, I thought she was amazing and almost cried for her when she wasn't chosen as the winner.
I'm not sure I can watch it next year after this debacle.

If it had been left to the public vote Lillianna would not have got to the final, she finished in third place in her semi final behind the winner Cillian and second place Tonikaku.

The judges obviously wanted her in the final so voted out Tonikaku instead.

This might also explain why they gave him the wildcard

Interesting - Thankyou keeleklogger

Smileless2012 Wed 07-Jun-23 12:35:57

That is interesting keeleklogger.

He was on Lorraine this morning and said it's not his fault he won and it isn't. He's got his spot on the Royal Variety Performance and £250K but even so, it can't be very nice to know what's being said.

Theexwife Wed 07-Jun-23 13:19:41

I do think that if you didn’t vote then you have no right to complain about the result.

Smileless2012 Wed 07-Jun-23 16:38:20

Agreed Theexwife and even if you did vote, what is there to complain about?

Devorgilla Wed 07-Jun-23 16:52:47

I don't normally watch BGT but had it on in the background this year. I missed the first acts of 'the man in pants' and Viggo and wasn't that impressed when I saw them on the last night. My thoughts were 'how do you expand your act'.
I don't feel too badly for the young ones as they all showed potential and I am sure their cards have been marked by agents keen to develop that potential. They have time on their side.

BlueBelle Mon 12-Jun-23 08:21:11

housePlantQueen I can assure you it was not ‘purple rubbish’ it was a fantastic show with some of the most talented acts I ve seen anywhere Amazing, amazing talent especially from the youngsters.
You missed a lot

BlueBelle Mon 12-Jun-23 09:09:42

Purile not purple I which autocorrect would mind it’s own business
