Is anyone still listening or have you given up?

Wasn’t it just merlotgran

Another cracking good episode tonight.

Next up….Brian! 😂

Farzanah Sat 07-Sept-24 10:13:44

Snap Iam.

I'm glad that its come out at last, I was worried it might never. Well...a lot more high drama to come!

Scribbles Sat 07-Sept-24 00:17:15

I'm on holiday and can't really listen while I'm away so I haven't heard it since Tuesday. There's going to be a catching-up binge when I get home next weekend!

Iam64 Fri 06-Sept-24 20:19:03

I’ve now heard Thursdays episode - vintage Archers, good script writing, excellent acting.
I haven’t heard the Friday cliffhanger but looking forward to it. The Archers is my only soap. I’ve enjoyed to for 54 years. I’ve had times when I stop listening regularly but story lines like this are quality

What a SHOUTY episode, eh?

This storyline will be milked for all it's worth up to Christmas and beyond - all the legal bits and bobs will drag on and on, Squire Aldridge will go off like a volcanoe and then......George will have a brainstorm and say he's made it all up and Alice was driving after all. Really.

This has the potential to establish a three-way feud between the Grundy's, Carter's and Aldridge's that will keep the SW's busy for the next few generations. At least.

Mia was lovely as usual.

eGJ Fri 06-Sept-24 19:17:07

Well that was nail biting and good acting. We must hope for a reconciliation for Emur, bur we’ve all been saying she was wrong to keep it hidden!

eGJ Fri 06-Sept-24 12:10:09

It could be if it was Harrison, he doesn't live far away!

Farzanah Fri 06-Sept-24 11:43:28

Bated breath for tonight. George could still do a runner. I don’t believe the police would have been that quick off the mark.

Luckygirl3 Fri 06-Sept-24 11:03:17

They were pushing their luck that the police did not arrive before George as he would have done a runner.

merlotgran Thu 05-Sept-24 21:38:47

It could be Joy. She’s popping up everywhere at the moment! 😂

Wyllow3 Thu 05-Sept-24 21:11:48

At last......Great episode and wondering exactly the same thing, Iam

(unless course the knock on the door tonight wasn't the police....)

Iam64 Thu 05-Sept-24 21:01:27

I’ve not caught up with tonight’s episode - and it’s only Thursday, what will tomorrows cliff hanger be

Luckygirl3 Thu 05-Sept-24 20:36:14

That's torn it!

Delila Thu 05-Sept-24 19:54:16

Yes, excellent acting!

merlotgran Thu 05-Sept-24 19:17:47

Wow! Great acting tonight, especially Neil and Susan.

eGJ Thu 05-Sept-24 19:16:41

I’m confused……a good Thursday night episode 🙂

eGJ Thu 05-Sept-24 19:16:04

A good Friday night episode!

NotSpaghetti Thu 05-Sept-24 10:09:34

mae13 I'm not sure it can be that or I would have to say "which one is this" when the younger males are on.
Or Stella and the other same-voiced woman?

Where is Usha?

mae13 Thu 05-Sept-24 04:38:48

NotSpaghetti

Pip, Mia, Ian and Alistair are all from the same "shoot me now" voice/script school.
.... and then there's Mr Plod! 😬

It's the result of the BBC's relentless pursuit of diversity.......Lord save us.

mae13 Thu 05-Sept-24 00:00:03

Oh, it's Alistair's voice that makes me want to climb the walls - he always sounds as if he's eternally apologising. What a drip.

Every time Ian features in an episode, I think, Shoot me now!

I'm okay with Ian. It's Pip who has that effect on me. Can't stand the character or the actor's voice.👎
