Are Brad and Mia practising for a Silly Voice Contest?

Plus, today's episode was a right mish-mash of pointless waffle.

Both Brad and Mia seem to be starting term at university a week early, but that’s what probably suits the script writers. And what rubbish was the rubbish storyline!

Delila Mon 02-Sept-24 20:11:44

I wonder if the Archers scriptwriters are incapable of running two (or more) interesting storylines simultaneously?

I think/hope George will wise up to Clive, give himself up, I can’t help but feel a bit sorry for him.. I think if I was his mother I would shop him, getting rid of Clive by doing so but landing George in prison but you can’t let an innocent person take the blame.
How many marriages are like Fallons, she does not want children, her husband does, he loves her so accepts it.
Archers has little to do farming and more about the people and causes.

Wyllow3 Mon 02-Sept-24 00:05:09

Was he looking for the phone number for his daughter?

I also suspect he won't go it seemed all too easy.

What did Clive hide/plant in the bedroom at Tracy’s house

I hadn't considered he might be concealing something. I'd supposed he was just snooping around to see if there was any cash or cards lying about that he could pinch.

So, cricket is done and dusted and Clive has hopefully slung his hook.

I wonder what will be the next diversionary storyline?

Oh, I doubt Uncle Cloive has gone quietly - he'll come bouncing back full of determination to wreak revenge. It's all too suspicious.

mae13 Sun 01-Sept-24 19:23:44

And Ambridge are the winners (naturally) and it's all thanks to George - also naturally! Now he's a hero all over again.......fancy that.

Wonder how Emmur did it!

Friday's episode - Well, it looks to me that Cloive thinks he can use George's wrong doing to manipulate the family judging by his threats tonight. That he's "got something" that could bust the family apart.

Did other posters get the same impression?

I really dont like this SL!

Yes, I think that’s what Clive has in mind. George has unwittingly given Clive a great way to exact revenge on the people of Ambridge, where he is universally despised. He’s a very sinister character (but perhaps it will ultimately be George to the rescue?).

I’m wondering how he got Clive’s phone number and why he decided to turn to him for help?

merlotgran Sat 31-Aug-24 10:06:10

Yes he has. Emma was horrified when George told her he’d told Clive what really happened and Clive is already blackmailing them.
