Is anyone still listening or have you given up?

Delila Tue 10-Feb-26 22:18:40

Never too late to start listening again keepingquiet - I’ve done it many times and it’s always been easy to pick up the threads 😊

keepingquiet Mon 09-Feb-26 15:47:58

I haven't listened for years- not sure why I stopped but it's too late to start again.

Elrel Mon 09-Feb-26 15:43:56

I guess Josh marrying Esme and the happy couple running her farm happily ever after is on the back burner for a few years!
Or does Amber dump George for Brad so Josh has a rival?
Wondering how far ahead SW plans are laid…

Is Stella one step nearer to getting her hands on Brookfield?

NotSpaghetti Mon 19-Jan-26 08:28:34

How can Fallon mis-recognise Harrison?
The gait of people we love is surely engraved in us?

These two never seem to manage to be reasonable in the way they talk to each other. What are they doing together?

Scribbles Sun 18-Jan-26 23:29:54

Oh, what a tangled web.... This is getting very complicated!

NotSpaghetti Thu 15-Jan-26 00:23:53

Well Maggiemaybe you were certainly ahead of the game with the George attack incident.

And though he's been to apologise - he seemed not so very contrite once he got home!

I’ve just watched Bargain Hunt on iPlayer, an Archers special with Jazzer and Tracy against Lillian and Justin.
I had to Google the heights of Simon Williams and Sunny Ormonde!

mumofmadboys Mon 05-Jan-26 06:36:26

Could Brad have done it and Tracey deleted the cctv? Tracey works at the pub doesn't she?

Scribbles Sun 04-Jan-26 23:16:45

Harrison would surely know how to do it - he's a police officer and must spend a fair portion of his working hours dealing with cctv.
I am trying to remember what he told the detective who questioned him about why he'd gone home - might have to replay that to satisfy my curiosity. But I do remember a conversation between Lilian and Fallon about how quiet it was in the pub so the opportunity was probably there for him to sneak into the back office (or wherever) and do the necessary.

Elrel Sun 04-Jan-26 22:36:04

The plot thickens, who had the knowledge and opportunity to delete the cctv at The Bull?

NotSpaghetti Sat 03-Jan-26 21:37:34

Elrel I think it's Kiera personally.
She won't say why she's afraid to be alone in the house with him.

Just wonder where the bottle came from though - as I'm not sure we know George to have been carrying one.

Maggiemaybe Sat 03-Jan-26 08:40:53

Well I’m an Omnibus listener, so won’t hear all this till Sunday, but I gather George has been attacked and without knowing any of the details, I’d still put my money on Harrison having done it.

Elrel Sat 03-Jan-26 00:50:46

Scribbles
I am sorry to say you may be right. Is runaway Keira a possibility? Or Amber?

Scribbles Fri 02-Jan-26 17:59:06

My money's on Harrison.

silverlining48 Fri 02-Jan-26 17:01:59

The Archers celebrated 75 years yesterday. Longest running soap. I have listened for about 30 of those years.
Celia imry did a recap of the last 75 years in 75 seconds, it was very funny.

CabbageWars13 Fri 02-Jan-26 16:58:43

Oh, Moaning Minnie George has mutated into evil Uncle Clive Horrobin and The Archers has mutated into Coronation Street.

Weary, dreary and thoroughly ruined.

LadyGaGa Fri 02-Jan-26 16:53:20

Surely Fallon wouldn’t do such a dastardly deed! And the cut hand seemed a bit of an obvious clue. It would be very out of character for Brad too. My money is on Brian! He may be old but he’s fierce. Suspicious how Jazza didn’t seem to want to go down the lane where he was though. Oooo! Enjoying the intrigue!

Scribbles Thu 01-Jan-26 23:00:46

Oooh. So whodunnit, then?

Visgir1 Tue 30-Dec-25 13:49:11

I have listen to the Archers for about 40 years and only in the last few months stopped. I got fed up with the George / Amber saga and lost interest.
But think I will see if I can catch up with the storyline after reading this thread. Thanks

Scribbles Tue 30-Dec-25 12:20:32

I was getting bored with the Archers and nearly stopped listening during the autumn. Glad now after last night's epi that I hung in there!
I'm wondering, too if one of the Brookfield Archer lads will end up with Esme.

Galaxy Tue 30-Dec-25 12:05:48

Yes poor Emma, she is one if my favourite characters, although I know lots of people aren't keen on her.

Einna Tue 30-Dec-25 11:59:51

Very intriguing tasters on the website this week……hints about crises and hospital vigils …….

Is George going to attack Brad and put him in hospital ?

The threads are more interesting at present, and the acting is so good…….poor Emma, poor Will…….

Maggiemaybe Mon 29-Dec-25 09:07:45

Hearing Harrison’s voice on the omnibus yesterday was chilling for this Corrie fan - it’s now firmly established with me as the voice of the awful Theo.

I was half expecting George to be found attacked and unconscious at the end of the episode. He’s going downhill fast!

pinkwallpaper Mon 29-Dec-25 08:45:44

Looking at the snippets that the BBC give you we are into an interesting new year plot with George. Is he a real bad’un?
