Is anyone still listening or have you given up?

Delila Sat 21-Dec-24 11:35:48

If only the toing and froing was interesting and believable….

PoliticsNerd Sat 21-Dec-24 11:21:25

Tom and family will buy Kirsty's house. Helen and family will move to the farm, sharing it with Tony and Pat while their eco home is built.

There will be a lot of toing and froing to get there, otherwise there isn't a story.

eGJ Sat 21-Dec-24 11:11:06

As we have all said before they really should ask GNetters to become in charge of ALL scripts😊

NotSpaghetti Sat 21-Dec-24 10:57:35

I cannot believe Helen thinks having FOUR extra people under her (as it is now) roof will create anything but trouble!

What idiot thought that scenario up?
Obviously the same person who took inspiration for Leonard from the "Carry on" films

eGJ Sat 21-Dec-24 10:46:14

Is there any left? After the re-wilding donation?

merlotgran Fri 20-Dec-24 21:19:55

Helen has turned her nose up at living in April Cottage but she’s OK with squeezing in with Tom, Natasha and the twins. 🤔

Hurry up and shuffle off, Peggy. They need what’s left of your dosh!

NotSpaghetti Fri 20-Dec-24 20:43:01

And what kind of person has Brenda turned into??
😱

eGJ Fri 20-Dec-24 19:17:24

It’s going to be the easiest house sale ever! As if grin

NotSpaghetti Thu 19-Dec-24 21:06:20

What is going on! The whole thing is a farce.

Who is writing this nonsense?

eGJ Thu 19-Dec-24 20:06:58

Brenda’s brief appearance has been odd…and she doesn’t appear next week though sadly the newly clumsy Leonard does!

Scribbles Thu 19-Dec-24 15:47:49

He hasn't been up until now.

mae13 Thu 19-Dec-24 14:12:40

Is Leonard meant to be some kind of Frank Spencer character?

eGJ Thu 12-Dec-24 12:50:32

🤣 you’ve just cheered up a dark cold day notS

NotSpaghetti Wed 11-Dec-24 23:38:36

Probably a double death... Peggy and Leonard in the dining room with a pie?

merlotgran Wed 11-Dec-24 23:31:54

Why didn’t David just do up the button on Leonard’s trousers himself instead of waiting for Jill who now sounds terribly frail.

I wonder if Peggy’s death will be the Christmas shocker!

eGJ Wed 11-Dec-24 21:46:05

Bringing Leonard back centre stage is yet another annoyance (and he is very annoying) And having Gavin wringing people’s heart strings after what he and his father did is stretching things too far!

mae13 Sun 08-Dec-24 19:25:19

Are there any farm animals still mooching about Ambridge? If it wasn't for the occasional reference to veg. boxes or the Farm Shop I certainly wouldn't connect Ambridge with all things rural.

And the current avalanche of new and returning characters (Uncle Cloive and now Gavin), assorted one-offs dipping in and out, just has me seriously puzzled nowadays.

I think it was the Covid adaptations and those weary monologues that replaced normal episodes that has 'done' for The Archers.

shysal Sun 08-Dec-24 16:10:49

Just heard today's omnibus. Is there an affair on the cards for Ed and Fallon?

shysal Sun 01-Dec-24 13:49:16

I have just caught up on the omnibus. What a ridiculous storyline! I hope it has really come to an end!

Delila

So…. if we should happen to come home from work, or a walk, and find ourselves unexpectedly playing host to some scammed holiday makers, we’ll know how to react after this week’s episodes won’t we - make them welcome, move out and find ourselves a nearby yurt or barn to sleep in, and leave them to enjoy everything our home and community has to offer. All with good grace.

Yes, and you will all end up being The Best Of Chums For Life.

Realistic, innit?

merlotgran Fri 29-Nov-24 19:50:13

Thank goodness for that!

eGJ Fri 29-Nov-24 19:44:48

It’ll all be forgotten next week! None of the visitors appears next week!

Well, that's the token nod to Thanksgiving done, including the "Pompkin Poy."
Next stop, Ambridge breaks out the bunting, the hog roast and the root beer to celebrate President Trump's inauguration.......whoopee!

2000 people visited Borsetshire Breaks website after Sunday
Night’s episode. The BBC failed to buy the site so a listener did. www.telegraph.co.uk/money/consumer-affairs/bbc-caught-in-embarrassing-gaffe-archers-scam-awareness/
