I haven’t watched it yet but I’m sure it will get me as angry as I was when I watched This England on Sky, the story of the Brexit campaign; Kenneth Branagh portrayed Johnson and Simon Paisley Day portrayed Cummings.

These people at the heart of government. How did we come to this?

And there are some in the party who would love him back….

Showed why Johnson should never be allowed near politics again and that goes for his tainted Party which continued to support him until the last moment.

I was expecting to be angry but it all made me feel really sad. DH died during the 2nd/3rd Lockdown and memories of not being allowed to visit him in hospital and handing over bags of clean clothes and little treats outside the reception area brought back feelings of utter helplessness.

Getting angry would have been a waste of energy and not worth expending on a bunch of tossers.

I haven’t watched it yet and not sure if I will. Like many folk across the country I stood in all weathers for more months than I care to remember for care home window visits. It was horrendous to go from daily visits to a loved one to being allowed just a weekly window visit It was utterly heartbreaking to stand looking at someone on the other side of the window desperate for a hug and watch them crying. We stuck by the rules to protect our loved ones although our hearts were broken.

To learn later that while we were doing that the rule makers were breaking their own rules and partying? I can’t put into words how that makes me feel without being banned from Gransnet 😡

I don't think I realised how many parties there had been. Thought it was Boris birthday and Christmas drinks,not ongoing 14 or 15. Feeling that we were wrongly led during the pandemic and the ongoing feeling of a government with its own rules for them and not for the public.

I think we can safely say he was a cult-like figure. And although he's mostly out of the news now, any mention of his name will bring out his admirers who insist that he was the victim of a witch-hunt because "lots of people broke the rules and had parties" <<<sigh>>>

Comparing these to those in Downing Street whose contempt for the rest of us disgusts me,

Were the clips of members of the public real or acted? It made me a bit uneasy somehow seeing them alongside the dramatized sections - as if they were being used for our entertainment.

I am angry and upset all over again. Apart from the sheer power of this programme to remind us of just how arrogant and entitled these people were/are, the fact that morons like this were/are ever let near Downing Street is terrifying.
