A thousand posts! How time flies grin

Post your moans, praise and observations about life on the cobbles on this shiny new thread.

The actors must cringe at times when they read the scripts. There are some good actors, and to be involved in the daftest and most unbelievable story lines, and for so many weeks, must frustrate them.

Can't really imagine anybody fancying Steve these days. And Steve, Tim and Kirk are just like silly comedy characters now.

Calendargirl Wed 07-Feb-24 07:13:46

I thought the Tracey and Tommy flirting was spot on.

No wonder Tracey fancied a bit of a dalliance. Tommy is definitely easier on the eye than poor old Steve, with his silly facial expressions and gurning all the time.

Doodledog Tue 06-Feb-24 17:42:42

Steve looked much older last night, I thought.

I don't know what Bethany's up to, but I think Daniel is going to be hurt, yes. Poor lad doesn't have much luck, does he?

Sarnia Tue 06-Feb-24 15:03:05

The actor who plays Steve seems to have put quite a bit of weight on and he and Tim need to dial down the gushing over Tommy O. Simon is following in his father's footsteps, sadly. Has Bethany got a hidden agenda with her unexpected return to Weatherfield? I hope Daniel doesn't get hurt again.

Sarah really is smitten with Damon isn’t he? He totally adores her and plays the part very well.

vegansrock Thu 01-Feb-24 13:07:58

Tracey and Tommy made me laugh - good to have a bit more of a light hearted storyline.

Aveline Thu 01-Feb-24 12:13:14

BlueBelle I now agree. The silly fanboy stuff has gone too far now.

Doodledog Thu 01-Feb-24 09:57:59

Michael was overacting massively last night, wasn't he? I wish they'd all go and leave DD behind, as she's a far more rounded character than the rest of them put together.

It appears that Tommy-O has had a gambling problem too, which in the world of soap means that there will inevitably be a tie-in with the Ed situation - sooner rather than later.

BlueBelle Wed 31-Jan-24 22:48:42

Do you Avaline I find that silly fan club stuff ridiculous and annoying
Michaels acting is worse than his fathers I think, I can’t wait for Simon to go
Sarah’s getting plenty of ‘lurving’

LovesBach Wed 31-Jan-24 22:44:06

Michael will probably implode before long - he seems to be constantly seriously worked up, and if much more eye rolling and hand waving goes on I can see him being carted off to Wethy General to be the next street resident wearing a mask and in a hospital bed.

Aveline Tue 30-Jan-24 10:48:59

I love the ridiculous fan boy stuff going on. Steve, Kevin, Tim and Kirk are so funny. A nice contrast with the serious potential insurance fraud story.

Primrose53 Tue 30-Jan-24 09:26:14

Wait till he finds out Tracey-Luv is a murderess!! 🤣

Clawdy Tue 30-Jan-24 09:03:09

Think we can all see where the Tracey-Tommy storyline is heading! He is rather more attractive than Steve!

Grannynannywanny Thu 25-Jan-24 08:59:28

I think Simon looks like an under age drinker in the pub. I know he is 22 in real life and has a 4 year child. But i think in Corrie he looks much younger than his age and would look more at home in Roy’s cafe drinking a milkshake.

Grannynannywanny Thu 25-Jan-24 08:49:16

Simon appears to be turning to drink. I wonder if they’re giving him an alcohol problem to follow in Peter’s footsteps. I felt sorry for him last night when he tried to phone Peter.

Doodledog Wed 24-Jan-24 10:39:09

It was very silly. Will someone go to get Billy clean pyjamas and find the drugs in the bedside cabinet? This should not be made into ‘comedy’ - the story is very serious, and whilst it’s good to see the human side of what’s happening to Paul, I’m not sure that we need a slapstick element.

Clawdy Wed 24-Jan-24 08:08:20

Gemma crouching to do a poo clutching very bright toilet roll - not really what we want to see!

Grannynannywanny Tue 23-Jan-24 23:05:08

The escapade in the camper van was just so silly and predictable. Lost, stranded overnight and no phone signal. Who would have thought it?

Poor Paul’s toilet needs can be a matter of urgency at home. But he sat all that time in the camper van into the following day . How did they manage to lift him into the van?

Aveline Tue 23-Jan-24 13:49:05

I'm going to save it and watch it when it should be on. I prefer to watch it as it really happens (it's all real and live to me!)

Doodledog Tue 23-Jan-24 11:47:37

Corrie is on tonight from 9.00-10.00pm.

Doodledog Tue 23-Jan-24 09:25:03

I hope someone gets Dylan and Liam together and persuades them to tell the truth about Mason. Soon.

vegansrock Tue 23-Jan-24 03:35:15

The headteacher at Weathy High seems to be the only teacher at the school. She’s always on hand at any incident.

So Paul’s exit drugs are now in the bedside drawer to prevent Bernie finding them in the kitchen cupboard. I wonder if Moses will open the drawer and feel morally obliged to report his concerns. Or else the drawer will now be a nice height for one of the quads to reach.

Talking of Moses, at what point has he actually hinted or said he is gay ? From what i gather, Todd has decided on Moses's (( try saying that after a few swift ones !!! Talk about tongue-tied)) sexuality the second he clapped eyes on him.
