How long has Bernie had a car? Didn’t know she could drive.

That’s what I thought when her car was being towed away. Maybe I’ve just forgotten but I have no recollection of Bernie ever having a car.

The minimum wage must be different in soapland because they can all do so much more with it: nice cars, meals out and almost living in the pub.

I see that Corrie is on every day next week, Monday to Friday, half hour episodes I think.

Focusing on (yet again);the Lauren Bolton mystery.

Think the new policeman, Kit, Bernie’s long-lost son, (poor chap), will be Sarah’s new love interest.

So Bernie had the chance to meet up with long lost son ten years ago and let him down by not turning up? How hurtful.

How many love interests has Sarah had now?

I was going to ask the same question about Bernie we ve never seen anything about a car before and how does she afford to run it they ve never got a pound to their name in that house surely she would have been taking Apollo to his appointments in it
Nah she’s not been a car owner before I m sure

Grannynannywanny Wed 22-May-24 05:56:42

Bernie is full of surprises lately. A secret son and a secret car. Given her past lifestyle, the abandoned secret son wasn’t a huge surprise. It’s a bigger stretch of the imagination that she’s had a car all this time while they are portrayed as a living in poverty. They never have a spare penny but Bernie can afford the expense of running a car. 🤷‍♀️

Now Billy and Paul seem to have their own disabled van - weren’t they getting disabled taxis ?

BlueBelle Thu 23-May-24 05:48:50

I wish they would neaten that creation on Billys face up It will soon join David and Adams hair ….mind you Rowan’s is pretty naff too
Did I read somewhere that Sarah is leaving ?
Bernie has never had a car that’s a ridiculous input they’re on their knees for pennies so so unbelievable and an insult to viewers intelligence

vegansrock Thu 23-May-24 06:14:42

I think Simon is leaving. About time.

harrigran Thu 23-May-24 08:26:08

I do hope Simon is leaving, he is a poor actor and his storyline is boring.

vegansrock Thu 23-May-24 08:31:33

I wonder who will be the love interest for the rather tasty PC Kit.

I’ve already said-Sarah.

Grannynannywanny Thu 23-May-24 11:07:17

Maybe it was the camera angle last night but Kit looked at least a foot taller than Bernie. Goodness knows how much he’d be towering over petite Sarah. Dinky Damon was made for Sarah 😊

Calendargirl Thu 23-May-24 12:59:14

Wonder who Kit’s dad was?

No doubt he’ll be waiting in the Corrie wings to be brought out in a future story line.

Charleygirl5 Fri 24-May-24 11:23:42

I have had enough of the Lauren saga as usual it has been going on for too long.

Sarah and Simon are leaving. Will Billy be jailed after Apollo's assisted death?

Is Leanne returning?

I wish the speech would slow down and the words be pronunciated properly.

Calendargirl Fri 24-May-24 13:03:20

I have inadvertently read some future storylines.

I won’t spoil it for others! but suffice to say the storylines look to be getting worse!

Doodledog Fri 24-May-24 13:38:21

Thanks for not spoilering the stories. I much prefer to follow the stories as they are screened than to find out in advance. The fun is in guessing how things will play out and it spoils it for me if I know what's going to happen.

Sarnia Fri 24-May-24 17:20:19

The TV magazine in the supermarket had 'Lauren's killer revealed!' for this coming week. Any idea who this will be? I wonder if Nathan's return might be a red herring. I am going to go for Joel, Dee-Dee's sketchy boyfriend. There is something deeply unpleasant about him. Or perhaps the writers may go for it and it will turn out to be Billy or Craig? Who knows?

BlueBelle Fri 24-May-24 17:34:02

Well I hope Roy gets a big pay out for compensation for wrongful imprisonment
It ll be some boring person we ve never heard of or a friend of a friend of a friend it ll fizzle out

Charleygirl5 Fri 24-May-24 19:12:02

I have a feeling it will turn out to be somebody we know well but would never suspect in a 100 years. At least we will know next Friday for certain.

I agree Dee Dee's boyfriend is high on my list.

Calendargirl Fri 24-May-24 20:45:50

Are prisoners allowed their own private phone in their cell? Roy seems to make calls whenever he feels like it.

I think ghastly Cassie is behind the deep fake videos.

I neither know nor care who killed Lauren, assuming she is dead.

lemsip Fri 24-May-24 20:45:54

no spoilers on here please good to have our guesses of course

Calendargirl Fri 24-May-24 21:08:12

Oh, poor little Joseph.

No wonder he didn’t want his posh Oakhill mates to go back to his house and see Gemma with her mouth hanging open, Bernie ‘off for a wass’ and the quads racing round.

The Bistro with Grandma Linda, much more suitable.

LovesBach Fri 24-May-24 22:24:21

Roy is still on remand, and therefore 'not guilty' - pehaps this is why he can make calls freely.
Where do the residents of Coronation Street keep their cars? There was a brief flurry of parking on the street when some new regulations were to be brought in. Of late the street is almost free of cars - but of course there must be room for everyone to see and wave at taxis taking the departing residents off to the airport.
