Maybe we'll find out Mason is from a horrible family and start feeling sorry for him! I did think he'd be a bit more uneasy about the bullying after Gary threatened him.

Doodledog Thu 23-Nov-23 11:50:16

Yes, Gary can be quite scary. I hope the little boy (Jake?) tells Gary what happened (is it on the video?) and he sorts it out with Mason in a traditional manner. I don't care if he has a horrible family - there is no excuse for that.

I feel Liam's story is going to get much darker, possibly a suicide attempt.

Doodledog Thu 23-Nov-23 15:14:37

Yes, that occurred to me, too. I hope not.

Doesn't Liam look like Maria? He could be her son in real life.

What age is Dylan supposed to be? I doubt if he is old enough to be employed as a washer-up, let alone slicing meat and working on his own in a kebab shop.

He is an accomplished liar. Sean doesn’t seem bothered that he skips school.

“We all did it”.

No we didn’t.

Beechnut Fri 24-Nov-23 22:19:42

Did I hear Eileen say he was 15?

maddyone Sat 25-Nov-23 00:16:25

Dylan is 15 and he actually looks about that to me. I really think Shaun needs to get a grip on Dylan. Dylan is running rings round him. I’d be in at the school re the regular truanting for a start, and working together with them to ensure that Dylan was attending properly.

I hope there isn’t going to be an attempted suicide by Liam. He only looks about 12 and that’s far too young for a child actor to play such a part in my opinion.

Calendargirl Sat 25-Nov-23 09:49:46

Never mind Peter duffing up Dylan, (not that he did, and the little monkey deserved it anyhow), but I wouldn’t want to be in anyone’s shoes who Gary crosses when he finds out that Liam is the target of all this nastiness.

Don’t forget he has put bodies in the ground before now,

💀

Doodledog Sat 25-Nov-23 09:54:47

In a way, I don’t want Mason to be rehabilitated. I would in real life, but I don’t think the message that people who behave like this are misunderstood or deserving of sympathy. Maybe some of them are, but Liam’s trauma is real and I hope that is properly handled - preferably without his suicide.

Aveline Sat 25-Nov-23 17:26:48

Nasty pieces of work don't usually get away with it on soaps. I reckon Mason's time will come. Karma!!

charlie wrenshall born march 2009 age 14 plays Liam in corrie

liam mcsheyne born jan 2007 so 16 plays dylan plays

think they are both 15 in corrie..

Doodledog Sun 26-Nov-23 17:21:13

That seems fair enough - a year either side of the character's age is nothing. Audrey and Gail, supposedly mother and daughter, are about 7 years apart in real life, I think.

Primrose53 Mon 27-Nov-23 20:08:18

OMG The West Indian Grandad who just turned up! Fantastic actor? Not. 😢

CoolCoco Mon 27-Nov-23 21:28:23

What a grim episode. No humour.

Calendargirl Wed 29-Nov-23 20:15:11

Did I hear Max say his watch was broken?

What teenager uses a watch, surely they just look at their phone?

Doodledog Wed 29-Nov-23 20:17:27

Poor little Joseph! I wonder what's the matter.

Calendargirl Wed 29-Nov-23 20:30:51

The lavendar potion?

Once again, Weathy Ambulance on Corrie Street standby.

Who was minding the quads? Thought it was Bernie, but no, she’s at the hospital also.

Ed should have told his ghastly old dad to take a running jump!
His acting is worse than Aggie’s.

Doodledog Wed 29-Nov-23 20:33:25

Spot on, CG!

Was Ed's dad in Desmond's? I didn't watch it, but think I recognise him from trailers.

BlueBelle Wed 29-Nov-23 20:45:44

But she s gay NotTooOld she wouldn’t give Aadi a very good time 🤣🤣🤣

BlueBelle Wed 29-Nov-23 20:59:08

Whoops think I got on the wrong page, step down, ignore me

Yes grandad is awful

Calendargirl Wed 29-Nov-23 21:01:18

And now we’re lumbered with him over Christmas!

sad

Nannee49 Wed 29-Nov-23 22:21:16

Yes Doodledog, the actor playing Grandad - Ram John Holder - was Pork Pie in Desmond's.

maddyone Wed 29-Nov-23 23:25:36

I’m another who’s not keen on Grandad, and I think he’s playing his sons. Horrid behaviour.
I’m also not keen on the bullying story as it appertains to Liam. The child actor who plays Liam is too young in my opinion to play this role. Using the older actor who plays Dylan is okay, he’s mature enough, but the younger boy, it disturbs me.

Primrose53 Thu 30-Nov-23 09:14:28

Where is Aggie supposed to be and what is going on in her real life?

Doodledog Thu 30-Nov-23 14:53:13

Not sure about her real life, but Aggie is supposedly looking after an aunt or other relative who is ill. Her employer is clearly very understanding, as she's been gone for ages.
