Sweetpeasue

My votes went to Ellie. Annabelle and Bobby.

Shame such a short show tonight.

Snap Sweetpeasue !! smile

I like Angela, but not this week I’m afraid.
I wasn’t keen on Bobbys either, I never like the couples choice very much.
For me tonight, it will be the amazing Ellie, Annabelle and Nigel.

All three votes to Ellie this week

Grandmadinosaur Sat 25-Nov-23 20:39:54

Annabel and Ellie were amazing tonight. It was good to see Nigel bounce back after last week. Will be interesting to see who’s in the dance off.

Layton's American Smooth was spoilt (imo) by the choreography and music.
Sshhhing far too overdone too.

Grandmabatty Sat 25-Nov-23 20:46:16

I agree that Annabel was good at the Paso. She's come on so well. Ellie was fantastic and I'm disappointed with Anton and Craig's comments. I think Nigel and Angela will be in the bottom two this week.

TillyTrotter Sat 25-Nov-23 20:58:09

Annabel, Ellie and Bobby got my votes.

Joseann Sat 25-Nov-23 21:00:05

What Anton said to Bobby choked me up.

Bridie22 Sat 25-Nov-23 21:09:47

Annabel, Bobby and Ellie,my choices this week.

PoppyFlower Sat 25-Nov-23 21:18:04

I liked them all!

NotSpaghetti Sat 25-Nov-23 21:28:05

I never like the couples choice either Sara and agree that some are better at the choreography than others.

Charleygirl5 Sat 25-Nov-23 22:03:31

I think it may well be Angela and Layton in the dance-off with Angela going home.

Sometimes the scores did not match the comments.

Anton is beginning to irritate me getting so excited.

Does Motsi choose these awful outfits?

TillyTrotter Sat 25-Nov-23 22:48:18

It could be any of them in the bottom 2 this week - it is a popularity contest as well as a dancing competition.
I think she does Charley, she always seems proud to be wearing her outfits even though some of her head adornments are ludicrous.

Ellie was brilliant, with no experience of dancing too. Bobby is so much like his mom, when I think how hard she worked right up until she died so her boys would have better lives than she had, his words made me cry. She would be proud.
Think Annabelke so emotional after each dance takes the joy out of it for me.

Joseann Sat 25-Nov-23 23:08:08

I think there's a misconception that Ellie has no dance experience at all. She did ballet, tap and modern as a youngster, and went on to study performing arts at college.
Interestingly there is a statement from the BBC on the question of dance experience relating to contestants.

Yes, I’ve read before that Ellie has done ballet and tap when younger, but had no experience of ballroom and Latin.

So similar to Layton then, according to the BBC quote.

Personally hope that Ellie beats Layton if they both feature in the final.

Joseann Sun 26-Nov-23 07:56:16

Ellie was destined to win from early on, I hope she does.
I haven't enjoyed Layton's dances as much recently, and as someone said, I thought he looked like he had rifled the dressing up box last night.

NotSpaghetti Sun 26-Nov-23 08:18:20

Yes, Ellie says she did ballet and tap when younger but don't forget she has been working as an actor (without a dance requirement) since 9 or 10 whilst still at school (and having a childhood).

She doesn't seem to have danced professionally at all - but obviously has great musicality, resilience, trust and a strong work ethic.

I like her. 🤞

Ellie and Vito deserved a 40 score for their AT. I think Craig has left his 10 paddle at home and what was Anton waffling on about.

What was Motsi wearing?

Callistemon21 Sun 26-Nov-23 12:47:52

What was Motsi wearing?
Something from the same dressing up box?

She looks so lovely most of the time but last night was not one of those occasions.

I think it was several of those day-glo workmen’s tabards refashioned into an outfit, like they do on the Sewing Bee challenge round. She would definitely still have been visible had there been a power cut.

I blame Patrick and Esmé 😂

So do I as it was possibly the transformation challenge.

Sparklefizz Sun 26-Nov-23 19:00:24

Well, I rewatched on YouTube the dancers I voted for (Ellie, Annabel and Bobby) and although I was very moved by Bobby's dance, I realise now that this was mainly due to the backstory plus the lyrics of his music. His actual dancing (and also the choreography) did not seem to be that wonderful on a 2nd viewing.

However, because of the backstory and Shirley's tearful response, even if he is in the dance off tonight, I suspect it would be hard to vote him off.
