Confession ….. I have never watched more than a few minutes of this prog but this time around I plan to because Fred Sirieix, Grace Dent and Nigel Farage are in it which should be interesting.

Nella failed to open any locks because she flitted around them at random (as Ant said) and kept trying different numbers. It was never going to work. I felt sorry for Frankie who could do no more. I wonder what they all will think when they get home and watch it on TV.

I'm a Celebrity has been on the television for years and the format has not changed much, these people know what they are signing up too and get well paid for it.
I did not think Tony and Nella's task was that hard. Ant and Dec told her what to do many times.

Well, I think the trial that Frankie and Nella did tonight was really hard..

Nella did really well coping with the snakes all over her, but her heart wasn't in the game really.

Namsnanny Tue 28-Nov-23 23:39:23

I'm a bit confused jobieP I think it was Nella, who is now under medical supervision.
So now it is Nigel and Nick.

I'd have been shouting for them to get me out of there.

It worries me that all this is set up in the rainforest which is supposed to be a World Heritage Site. Hos do they get away with all the rubbish they build there?

jobieP Tue 28-Nov-23 22:57:20

Who was voted for the next trial (Wednesday) ?
My recording finished early. So annoying when that happens!

I just said I saw trouble ahead and it's here already! 😂

Just spotted this headline:
I'm a Celebrity descends into 'censorship' row: 'Lefty' ITV bosses are accused of 'insane dirty tricks' to limit Nigel Farage's airtime.

This is the spin off from reality TV, it's what increases viewing figures. The producers are probably feeding it to the media.

OldFrill Tue 28-Nov-23 16:50:53

7 years does not a decade make.

This is a real rumble in the jungle! 😲

If it's valid, and who would know? They are simply playing him at his own game. He went on it to increase his exposure, they aren't allowing him to set the agenda. All's fair in the jungle.

Remember he is quite a bit older than the rest of the camp and would be of the generation who polish their shoes etc.
He's only 59, Primrose grin

Some polish their shoes, some don't.
I wouldn't be taking a shoe cleaning kit to the rainforest with me, but I would be tucking my trousers into my socks!

Frankie and Fred are 50+

🤣🤣no, I didn’t mean he should clean his shoes in the jungle. I meant Nigel is of the generation that looks after themselves, their clothes, shoes etc. old school if you like.

We'll have to agree to disagree Primrose

I know some extremely scruffy men of that age and older and some younger men who are very smart and well-turned out!

You’ve lost me Primrose, are you saying the six or seven years younger Frankie wouldn’t - I always thought Italian men were immaculate dressers?

Including Grace there are four who are 50+ (one third of the participants) so I don't think Farage is 'quite a bit older'. Nella is quite a bit younger than the rest and has taken the most online criticism of all of them, although Grace is being pummelled for leaving (and it's quite disgusting the conclusions people are jumping to about her).
My Generation Millennium sons (and their friends) polish their shoes 'etc'. I don't know who you think does it for them!
In previous series that I've seen it's the exhibitionists in the shower that make the edit. They are highly aware of what they are doing - getting as many minutes of screen time and thus social media time as possible, leading to more interest and interviews when they get out.

NF is just about a decade older than both Frankie and Fred.

I don’t think anybody else cleans younger people’s shoes, they just don’t bother. Loads wear trainers anyway.

Chestnut Tue 28-Nov-23 14:11:52

Last night I thought it strange that NF wasn't in any conversations, but the jungle drums explain the reason for that and it doesn't surprise me. They are showing very little of him apart from his bum and bathing habits. So now IAC has become a political programme. I see trouble ahead.

Namsnanny Tue 28-Nov-23 13:29:58

Let's be fair, exposure is why everyone is on there.
No one is any different from their neighbour in that respect.

The jungle drums (🤣) are saying lots of NF conversations are being edited out, because the campers are showing interest, and possibly the viewers would too.

We only saw a glimpse or two of him last night, with more air time given to his reaction towards the other men volunteering.
I presume to make him look like a skiver.

Agree with you Primrose, but I don’t think it’ll bother NF one jot. He’s an ex public schoolboy and has always been happy to be in the public eye. If he knew he’d probably think so what, if that’s what you want to do get on with it.

The sight of a fat woman twerking is enough to make me throw up. Just find it revolting.

Why are they still stalking Nigel as he washes himself? It's rude and intrusive and I think they hope to humiliate him. They have not shown any other campmates washing. As previously noted, it would be considered abusive and racist if they filmed Nella in the bath or tending to her ablutions. So why is it acceptable to target one person?

If your offended by fat women and naked butts there's an off button.
Farage is well aware of the cameras, he's probably the most publicity hungry in there. His 'team' back in the UK are also objecting in order to keep him in the headlines here. He knows exactly what he's doing, though doubtless he'll be last to admit it. Since he said he wanted maximum exposure and lots of trials the public aren't voting for him and he doesn't want to fade into the background, though that seems to be where he's heading.

it’s obvious that the shower area has been positioned so that it can be seen between the trees. The producers will be hoping to catch anybody using it (from a distance) just as they have done in previous years.

I think Nigel Farage is a creature of habit and washes, showers, does his hair regularly as he always looks very smart on TV. Remember he is quite a bit older than the rest of the camp and would be of the generation who polish their shoes etc. I couldn’t imagine Sam or Nella cleaning their shoes and heaven only knows what is nesting in Nella’s mass of dreadlocks!

it’s obvious that NF is being singled out and it is childish.

I ike Joseann? She seems cheerful and pleasant.
Thanks, Anniel, you've made my day! 😆 🤣

I stopped watching because Nella was doing my head in, but gradually I've crept back. Things seem to have settled down nicely at the moment.

OldFrill Tue 28-Nov-23 04:10:55

Anniel

I saw an news item that said ITV thought Nigel Farage was quite popular with viewers for his efforts in the trials and that he could win which ITV executives did not want and on X there was a group that decided they would not watch the programme while Nigel was still in it. All quite childish and narrow minded in my view, but there you are. I like Joseann? She seems cheerful and pleasant. I have no idea why che is a celebrity as I only recognise Fred Framie and Nigel.

There's at least one person on this thread that said they wouldn't watch because Farage is in it. There are also some who are watching because he's in it. Josie is a TV presenter, love a Bristol accent!
