Nigel Farage on I'm a Celeb etc (sorry forgotten the name of the show)
I've never watched it before, and I dont know any of the other contestants, but could be fun.
No doubt he will be given the most gruesome challenges.🤣

I know the OP has explained her choice of words for the title of this thread, and I personally have a consummate dislike of Farage, but I still think calling him the world's most hated man is offensive.

That description should really be reserved for those individuals who have been responsible for unspeakable crimes against humanity - those individuals who will, indeed, be known to a large portion of the world.

Farage may be an opinionated, right-wing, windbag, but he does not fall into that category.

More relevant is the question - why is he doing this (£££)? To me, anyone who is a high-profile politician / figure in public life loses an awful lot of credibility when they agree to humiliate themselves with these "endurance" stunts. For money.

A real and honest test of their endurance would be for them to elect to live on the streets with the homeless for a year without access to money, a mobile phone, family or friends - and not be followed by a camera lens.

... and then come back and tell us how they got on.

No, not watching - N F gives me the creeps.

Wouldn't you enjoy watching him eat bugs, in amongst a tank of snakes? 😁

Actually, I've rarely watched it apart from wanting to see a bit of Australia, but this thread got me interested

I thought the first episode was good 👍🏻

I didn't know who the blonde girl was so looked her up, an Eastenders actress I think. She looked quite different from her publicity shots (much nicer in fact!).
She and the others have my admiration for climbing down that building at Surfers' Paradise - not something I could have done!

99.9% of the world won’t have heard of Farage. English exceptionalism again, which is apt in terms of NF. He knows nothing about the EU apart from taking money from them and doing nothing.

As mentioned by Galaxy 99% of the world’s population won’t have heard of any of them and last time I looked, the programme was made by a British television company to be shown in Britain. So what’s meant by English exceptionalism? Additionally apart from one contestant, the others are all British.

No, not watching - N F gives me the creeps.
Can a few weeks of discomfort really be worth £1.5 million?

Galaxy Mon 20-Nov-23 07:45:06

I am never keen on the first episode because they havent established relationships and dislikes yetgrin

Not sure. Probably?
But I dont watch just for one person.
And I whizz some trials[especially the eating ones].
I prefer the gentler ones, like dodge an emu or something.

It’ll be interesting to see how he interacts with the others.

Shinamae Sun 19-Nov-23 22:59:15

I think this year’s lineup is quite good, and although I have never voted before, I will be voting for Nigel Farage every time… (not for the trials, but to stay in)..😎

‘Nigel Farage
Plenary attendance: 61.4%
Number of report amendments: 0
It’s hardly surprising that the leader of the Brexit party Nigel Farage, MEP for South East England, hasn’t shown up to do any work for the EU – no motions, reports or amendments, one whole written question, member of one committee; you know the story by now’.

I like Farage I think he speaks a lot of sense and knows a good deal more than most of us how the EU works - but as I’ve never watched this programme before I shan’t be bothering now, just because he’s in it.

How does he know that? He was supposed to be protecting our fishing but he didn’t bother to turn up.

Louella12 Sun 19-Nov-23 21:42:51

I don't think this can be called voyeurism!

Voyeurism is the act of gaining sexual pleasure through watching or recording someone in a private act. To fall under this offence, it must be non-consensual.

maddyone Sun 19-Nov-23 21:32:11

Even more ridiculous is that all the other celebrities are people I’ve never even heard of!

Freya5 Sun 19-Nov-23 21:21:07

Again, I don't waste my electricity on reality rubbish, another word is voyeurism.
Really, the most hated man in the world, how utterly ridiculous.

How many other things would I prefer to do?
How long have you got?

I've got some paint that will want watching while it dries. 🙂

maddyone Sun 19-Nov-23 20:16:40

Haha, I’d love to watch Boris. It would be hilarious.

foxie48 Sun 19-Nov-23 19:47:48

I won't watch Nigel but I would watch Boris is they ever managed to get him into the jungle. I can just see him now, dangling from a rope (or perhaps that's deja vu)! So come on I'm a Celeb, give BJ enough money and you will boost your audience by at least one. He would be totally hilarious and would probably win.

Tenko Sun 19-Nov-23 19:44:55

No I won’t be watching and I can’t stand Nigel Farage .

Callistemon21 Sun 19-Nov-23 18:58:41

I can't imagine he will be left to his own devices do you Callistemon ?

One would hope not, Namsnanny. Goodness knows what he might get up to!

I've just read this on Yahoo news though. Nigel Farage has revealed that his health issues will prevent him from taking part in certain Bushtucker Trials during his upcoming stint on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here.

Apparently he negotiated smoke breaks off camera🤣🤣
They must have wanted him pretty badly.

Apparently he negotiated smoke breaks off camera 🤣🤣

You have to be kidding me 😲
Out bush (well, supposedly) and the bushfires have already started early this year. I do hope someone is watching him to make sure he doesn't start another one.

Is it possible to cheat in some way off camera?

Namsnanny Sun 19-Nov-23 18:10:54

crazyH

I watch it every year 😂- easy watch and light relief, although I must say i enjoy it even more, if they have a few squabbles 😂

You might well get a few fireworks, considering how controversial NF is. He can be very considerate and polite, but I don't think he takes any prisoners smile
