I know the OP has explained her choice of words for the title of this thread, and I personally have a consummate dislike of Farage, but I still think calling him the world's most hated man is offensive.
That description should really be reserved for those individuals who have been responsible for unspeakable crimes against humanity - those individuals who will, indeed, be known to a large portion of the world.
Farage may be an opinionated, right-wing, windbag, but he does not fall into that category.
More relevant is the question - why is he doing this (£££)? To me, anyone who is a high-profile politician / figure in public life loses an awful lot of credibility when they agree to humiliate themselves with these "endurance" stunts. For money.
A real and honest test of their endurance would be for them to elect to live on the streets with the homeless for a year without access to money, a mobile phone, family or friends - and not be followed by a camera lens.
... and then come back and tell us how they got on.
