Nigel Farage on I'm a Celeb etc (sorry forgotten the name of the show)
I've never watched it before, and I dont know any of the other contestants, but could be fun.
No doubt he will be given the most gruesome challenges.๐Ÿคฃ

Matt Hancock did very well and was third last year though Shinamae. It doesnโ€™t seem to have made any difference to future prospects in his case. The show is just that, a show.

Shinamae Mon 11-Dec-23 12:34:29

Hard luck OP Nigel acquitted himself in the jungle extremely well AND came third ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป so not so hated as you would like to thinkโ€ฆ๐Ÿ˜

A latter day Tarzan? Perhaps not.

Yes I agree merlotgran. Having been a Girl Guide ๐Ÿ˜†, and camping the old fashion way with my parents many moons ago (just a field, no toilet blocks).
But he has to think in the same way as the audience, if he is going to get votes, dont you think?

He seems the sort of person who is never still. Always up for sorting the next problem out.
I hope it doesnt, but could go against him voting wise.

I think I'm getting too involved ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿคฃ

I was listening to Christine Hamilton who was in either this or something similar, and she was saying he is being a bit naive about the editing and just being himself.

Smileless2012 Thu 23-Nov-23 14:17:35

I agree merlotgran.

Nigel is coming across as an over strict parent at the moment. I dont think that will win him any votes

Heโ€™s right though. They were being really lazy about clearing up after the meal. Theyโ€™d soon start shrieking if they woke up to find rats doing it for them.

21 Nov Louella12 ...

Its just a program edited for the best viewing

Yes, so we end up seeing what the producers want us to see.

How far does this go I wonder? It would be easy to 'control' the publics perception of someone I suppose?

I think the title was meant to be amusing Tiggy, hence the emoji.

Thank you maddyone

I used to like I'm a Celeb, but haven't watched it since it temporarily moved to Wales didn't the pandemic. Last year Hancock put me off, and this year is Farage. There's no way in earth I'd give that vile excuse of a human being a second of my viewing time. And in amazed at the amount of people on here that actually "like" him! Seems racism is alive and well in all age groups.....

Crikey, if you feel like that about someone you donโ€™t even know, how would you feel about someone you do know and dislike. ๐Ÿค”

I wonder too Primrose53?๐Ÿ‘
Perhaps using the word 'hate' wasn't so far off the mark after all?๐Ÿ˜‚

Any port in a storm Merlotgran. What! No Port. Okay a Cava will do if suitably chilled.

Surely not!!
I like it but he won't buy me that - only a NZ sauv blanc or an Australian Shiraz, surely?
(I'm not paying.)

Now, Nigel, do you ever have any regrets over your campaigns.

I think he misheard your request for SB, Calli and this pub only stocks Cava!

โ€˜Vile excuse of a humanโ€™? As far as Iโ€™m aware, NF hasnโ€™t murdered anyone - how about Putin, Netanyahu, the leader of Hamas (donโ€™t know his name)?
I donโ€™t appreciate being called a racist. I couldnโ€™t care less where people come from. The bottom line is that this country is overcrowded enough as it is.

^I'd further add that anyone watching this repetitive twaddle (& I do see a few mins here and there, changing channels) should get a life!^

Oooh! Get you!

I'd further add that anyone watching this repetitive twaddle (& I do see a few mins here and there, changing channels) should get a life!
๐Ÿ˜ ooh, what an admittance! I use the Guide on the remote then i so don't accidentally turn over to any twaddle

Well said, maddyone

I'm not at all a Farage fan and disagree with him on many (probably all!) points but I'd rather spend an evening arguing with him in the pub than with Putin, the leader of Hamas or indeed even Trump.

๐Ÿบ๐Ÿบ

Iโ€™ll join you, Calli because heโ€™s a good debater and unlike most politicians actually answers the questions.

But only if heโ€™s buying the drinks!

Mine's a very large Sauvignon Blanc, Nigel, but GN only does a red!!

Smileless2012 Wed 22-Nov-23 15:32:37

I have a life thanks DrWatson which I enjoy and one of things I enjoy about it is watching IACGMOOH.

GANNET Wed 22-Nov-23 15:32:01

Think I will watch it this year having read this thread. I bet he is the most interesting as he certainly isnโ€™t stupid and isnโ€™t frightened to debate with others which is a rarity these days. Too many people want to cancel instead.

Farage is not vile, he simply holds a difficult point of view than many of us, and he pursued that opinion/belief vigorously.
Vile is a terrorist who attacks civilians and beheads them. Vile is a person called Putin who invaded a sovereign country and destroyed it. Vile is a child abuser, a murderer, a person who scams old people out of their meagre savings. Lots of vile people in the world but Farage isnโ€™t one of them because you donโ€™t agree with him.
