The programme was fimed in France during this summer's heatwave when temperatures reached over 27 degree, the highest ever recorded in France,s and most of the south had red weather alerts for weeks on end.

These were temperatures nobody was used to. She said she had had the house for over 30 years, so she would have bought long before we had these extremes of temeprature.

Sorry I'm veering it of course, just to say Isaw the Pete Doherty interview last week, heavens, that druggy slip of a boy has morphed into middle age now having kicked drugs, good for him! New addiction French cheese, clearly worse than heroin it's turned his face into the size of a pumpkin [shock} Bet Joanie doesn't touch the stuff given she looks younger than Pete, does now, well from a distance she does and if you haven't got your glasses on!

I kept thinking to myself, just think he used to go out with Kate Moss! I remember how worried about him his mum was. I’m always puzzled by these stars who are open about doing heroin etc for years but are still going strong and yet those that lived healthy lifestyles are long since gone.

Absolute nonsense. This site has nothing to do with Switzerland. I asked a question about Joan Collins- in Italy, to be fair. As said, she lives most of the time in France and USA. My question was DIRECTLY related to Joan Collins, and asked by a British person, related to a UK TV programme.

What would anything to do with Switzerland have anything to do with this site, at all. Just a personal attack, yet again- full of prejudice bordering on worse.

I didn't see it but I'm quite surprised people think she's had cosmetic procedures as I've read a number of times that she hasn't (not that it's a problem if she has).

I remember reading about her very strict health and beauty regime - getting up 2 hours early every day when she was filming to ensure she did her exercises and her skincare regime. Bed at regular times and skin care before bed. She was very strict about what she ate and drank, rarely touching alcohol, and very open about wearing wigs. She looked a bit doddery on her feet last time I saw her, but her brain was a sharp as ever and she was very down to earth.

Can't believe how we come to be talking about Savile or Boris Johnson on a thread about the Joan Collins interview. As far as looks are concerned, I wish at 71 I looked as good as she does at 90! She must be fed up with all the catty comments she's had to ensure during her career. Go Joaney! Glamour like it used to be. No fish lips or Groucho Marx eyebrows for her!

In fact, having just re-read my review of Theroux's autobiography, the situation was even worse - Theroux used to keep a room at his own house for when Saville came to visit.

I’m a great fan of Joan’s as she is intelligent, glamorous and very entertaining. I have a way to go but I would so much rather look like her than “au natural “ at 90.

We’ve been watching the new series and have found them interesting. I thought the Joan Collins one last night came to an abrupt end but she and Percy seem very content together. She was quite clear that she always had to pay her own way in life.

Why are people so obsessed with Boris’s sex life? The less I know about it the better. His various women all cheated along with him and often cheated on their friends.

Jeremy Corbin has had a similar number of wives, a number of affairs and some extremely dubious acquaintances, but they don’t seem to be picked up on with h the same relish.

Luckygirl, what do you believe he could have done about Saville. His predatory behaviour was an open secret by then, one which no one was willing or able to ‘do anything’ about

It is clear from Theroux's autobiography that he did not simply interview him for TV, he formed a relationship with Saville and stayed at his place on several occasions.

Theroux was an intelligent man and knew what was going on, and yet he chose to make his programmes on Saville, giving him the nourishment of publicity. He could have chosen to say no - this man's behaviour is so unacceptable that I am not prepared to give him more publicity - it was the publicity and the fame that flowed from that that gave Saville the means to get away with his appalling behaviour.... that fed into the sense that people were powerless to do anything.

What could he have done? Refused to offer him more publicity by making these programmes; and stayed away from him outside of the programme-making, rather than "befriending" him.

The sections in the autobiography about Saville make pretty troubling reading, and not just because of Saville's behaviour. Theroux needs to ask himself why he chose to enhance his own bank balance whilst furthering the career of this vile man.

Haven’t seen the interview yet, but will do so in a spare moment.

I have seen the trailer and in my opinion Joan Collins looked fabulous, if I look half as good (if I reach the ripe old age of 90) I will be very happy.

Many of us have been wondering why [Joan Collins and Katie Price] were not officially interviewed by Security Services - really? Who are these many of us? I’m not one of them.

I wonder what would happen if we constantly posted about the Swiss and their links to Putin and oligarchs, hoarding of Nazi treasures, Italian mafia who live there, secretly hiding their wealth, human trafficking, organised crime?

They would all be very interesting questions, which I would be very happy to discuss.
