On BBC 2 now
Anyone watching this? She is amazing for 90! Obviously her hair is dyed, (or is it a wig?) and is heavily made up but still looks great. Very watchable.

I so hope he won't miss the opportunity to ask about Johnson's behaviour at the bunga bunga parties in Italy with the Russian Oligarchs. Apparently she was there at the last one and so was Katie Price- who was under the table below him- and had to be sent out.

Callistemon21 Tue 21-Nov-23 21:39:16

Why would he ask about Johnson and his behaviour?

We want to know about Joanie.

Fleurpepper Tue 21-Nov-23 21:42:28

Because it is much more important than her.

Callistemon21 Tue 21-Nov-23 21:43:59

But this programme is about her not him.

She looks terrible, poor woman she’s 90 ffs she’s had so much done to her poor face amazed it’s still holding together

Callistemon21 Tue 21-Nov-23 21:51:48

She looks terrible
She is 90.

granfromafar - was it interesting, did we learn anything new? Pertaining to Joan, of course, not politicians (unless she was married to one!).

BlueBelle Tue 21-Nov-23 21:56:08

She looks terrible not because she’s 90 but because of all the horrendous work she’s had done on her poor face Callestamom She’d look so much better if she did look 90

Grammaretto Tue 21-Nov-23 21:56:58

I think she looks amazing! Still so full of life with sparkling eyes. She was quite able to cope with whatever the rather dreadful Louis threw at her.

Callistemon21 Tue 21-Nov-23 21:58:19

Must watch it 🙂

M0nica Tue 21-Nov-23 21:59:42

Whenever I see photos of her I always think how good she looks. Yes, she makes no secret that she wears wigs and obviously she is a miracle of modern cosmetics, but I hope I can look as good when I reach 90!

BlueBelle Tue 21-Nov-23 22:04:44

Well we all have different values,
In the face area to me she looks really awful I d much rather see someone looking natural and normal for 90 although I agree she has got sparkling eyes

Callistemon21 Tue 21-Nov-23 22:05:36

Me too, M0nica (if I get there!)

Allsorts Tue 21-Nov-23 22:14:40

What work has she had done? I like her sparkle and wit, her zest for life, of course she's cleverly made up and it's on with a trowel but she does look good for 90. Must get a boyfriend 35 years younger.

Harris27 Tue 21-Nov-23 22:19:16

Yes she’s had work done but she still looks great.

I cannot bear Theroux. He is such a poser - all the disingenuous false innocence. It does not matter most of the time, but his relationship with Saville ..... he knew - he jolly well knew what was happening, but did nothing. Theroux's autobiography shows that he knew.

She always seems to be very controlling when she gives interviews so I’ll be interested to see how Louis gets on with her. I watched his interview with Pete Doherty last night. I was channel hopping and didn’t intend to watch it but I was engrossed.

Well I found it interesting and learnt quite a bit about her. Would recommend it.

Callistemon21 Tue 21-Nov-23 22:51:09

I've never watched him, did he have a famous father?

FindingNemo15 Tue 21-Nov-23 22:57:18

I went to 'an evening with Joan' a while back and she was brilliant and interesting. I did not know what to expect, but thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

henetha Tue 21-Nov-23 23:23:41

I don't agree she looks terrible. She's terrific for her age and is honest and interesting. I've always admired her.

I think Louis Theroux is amazing. He can always get his subject to relax enough to open up. He can ask personal questions that many people would take offence at being asked, but never offends them. He has interviewed the strangest and most unpleasant people and yet can talk to them without any apparent discomfort. I'm talking Americans, crazy, aggressive religious groups, cult members, people living in group marriages, lots of quite scary people. I admire him greatly.

vegansrock Wed 22-Nov-23 06:35:51

I love Louis Theroux’ interviews even if I don’t like the subjects. The one with Anthony Joshua was fascinating .

I think Joan Collins is one of the last, if not the last of the Hollywood stars of the 1950’s and beyond.

Yes, she wears a wig, make up trowelled on (bit too much blusher) and for the first time last night, I really thought she was showing her age. Looked rather unsteady, obviously grateful to sit down or hang on to Percy when walking.

But goodness me, at 90 years old! She still gives great interviews, Piers Morgan did a good one with her a while ago.

Nothing like a dame!

Calendargirl Wed 22-Nov-23 07:01:04

Meant to say ‘There’s nothing like a dame!’
