I’ve just watched it and I did think they (the presenters) were on a mission to show us that the political will to deal with our carbon footprint seems to be absent.
I think that came over loud and clear and I think that it left me with a sense of sadness that no one who could do much about it is willing to grasp the nettle. We need an all party effort but I think that is highly unlikely.
Those politicians may be reading the room correctly. We, the electorate as a whole, seem to want cheap, clean energy but we probably won’t vote for those who are determined to give it to us. It will be costly and, until it’s in place, will be uncomfortable.
