My favourite won, loved all the crafty stuff she’d done, I could imagine having a really nice time in it, Christmas or otherwise. I also liked the gorgeous flat and the hop filled house but was gobsmacked at the other two. “Over the top” doesn’t begin to describe one of them and I know I’m being extremely judgemental here but “money doesn’t buy good taste” describes the other imo. I was actually thinking “if they pick either of those two, I’m never watching this again”. 😁

It won it for me when I saw the front door!

I agree Maybee. It was a lovely house anyway and the Christmas decorations enhanced it and didn't overpower it

Best house won imo. Was quite relieved because I thought some of them were far too over the top for me!

I really liked Michael Angus. I liked the relationship between the three of them. I do also like Banjo, though. It’s one of my favourite programmes on all time, I think. I happily watch old series.

Patronising that should say

I might give it a go. I stopped watching because I couldn't stand the previous male judge. I thought he was so part and smug. But I like Banjo

Thanks. I was googling it last night to find out when it’s going to be on. I have to be honest and say I prefer the houses in Scotlands home of the year to the Welsh series (sorry Wales).

The above will be on BBC1 this coming Monday. The judges are Anna Campbell-Jones, Banjo Beale and a new one, Danny Campbell who is an architect.
The fifth series of SHotY starts on May 15th next year.
